- carlos· June 9th, 2025The tour was more than I expected, and Julio Conde, our mountain guide was the perfect person to take us on that journey. He as knowledgeable in every aspect of this the tour, and kept us all feeling safe and in good hands (even thought we are big boys). The food was amazing, restaurant quality, and food portions were more than enough to keep us all very satisfied while out there day after day. The entire staff was professional, courteous, friendly. If I ever get back out for another hike in Peru, I want the same people / team taking care of me again. Thank you Julio for making this experience a magical and life changing experience.Show moreTrip date: May 2025
- SHSusan· December 22nd, 2024The tour was amazing. We had a smaller, more intimate group and an amazing Guide "Roger" who was very knowledgable of all the areas we journeyed. You could tell he really was passionate about his work and loves what he does. The landscapes were stunningly beautiful and different day to day. The food was amazing and plenty of it thanks to Chef Bertrand and A/Chef Cenobio. I felt completely supported and taken care of. Everything was organized and well operated. I would highly recommend this experience. 5/5.Show moreTrip date: December 2024
- Filip· November 29th, 2024Absolute a fantastic experience. The food prepared is awesome. Even better than a restaurant. Thanks to our chef Zenovio and sous chef Dario. Despite landslides our horseman, Elicio, was able to bring our luggage to the next checkpoint. An amazing work. And of course our guide Manolo. This is really a wonderful person and a reason on itself to do the trup. Trexperience have a fantastic team working for them. Last thank goes to my personal guide Adrian who guided me very well through Machu Picchu. The knowledge and passion made this visit above expectationsShow moreTrip date: November 2024
- Tom· November 10th, 2024We had an incredible time on the salkantay 5-day tour; the itinerary and experience was amazing and we were sad to leave! Thankyou to our guide Sara who was always kind, helpful and had so much knowledge of the nature and the history! The chefs Esteban and Dario made amazing food and helped in so many other ways as well, I am amazed with the meals you can create on the mountain, so tasty and varied! We would love to come back and do a trek with Sara, Esteban, Dario and the porters again!Show moreTrip date: November 2024
- EBElla· November 10th, 2024Guide Sara, chef Esteban, assistant Dario and muleiter Ali were all excellent and I would highly recommend them! The tour was incredible with amazing views, great food and high rewards for the hard hikes.Show moreTrip date: November 2024

- PDPeter· August 29th, 2024Automatic translation available in English. View in EnglishFood was always good! Sleeping accommodation was also always good! Sanitary facilities were also good under the circumstances. Hiking route: Day 1: good Day 2: good Day 3: good Day 4: not good. Hike along the tracks can be canceled Fresh water tastes of plastic (very bad) Guide: poor communication Improvement: Introduce the participants at the beginning for a better group feeling; divide the groups into slow and fast if necessary (the fast hikers always had to wait and often cooled down); transparent communication in case of difficulties. Macchu picchu: very good organization: important to start early.Show moreTrip date: August 2024
- Amaranta· July 13th, 2024Fantastic tour and am glad that I chose this tour after the Inca tours were all full for the month. There were 7 people in the tour group and 6-7 staff members supporting our tour! Very personal and enjoyable, plus am grateful to the guides (Sarah and Toribio) for making the pace easier for me - going uphill was quite tiring for me at the start of the trek. Really like that this is a relatively young company managed by locals, as perhaps compared to the other more established ones where I observed a bit of a rush and they tend to cater to large groups with smaller age differences. Great service from the guides as they shared and infused Quechua culture and language into the tour, so that gave the tour an added dimension 😄 Finally, the food prepared meticulously with great care by the chef and his team ( not forgetting the horsemen and super porters) was delicious and fits all diets and preferences! Sometimes it feels like a party! And gosh, they do make sure we are all fed well and happy. Highly recommend this trek and the team!Show moreTrip date: July 2024
- Ron· June 4th, 2024A great tour! It was challenging but worth every step. Stunning scenery the whole trek. The whole team did a great job, the guides John and JJ, the cooks, the porters all contributed to a fantastic overall experience. Be sure to pack all of the recommended items and consider the add ons that contribute to a better overall experience. (Trekking poles, air mattress etc..) You definitely won't go hungry on this trip, all meals and snacks are provided along with drinking water and the chance to purchase additional refreshments at stops if you wish. Overall I had a great time and would definitely recommend! Thank you TreXperience :)Show moreTrip date: May 2024
- ADAndrea· June 1st, 2024Great food! They porters and guides really helped make the trip feel special. On a cold night they had warm rubber bags for us to sleep with. Also tea in the morning to wake up. It's like a bougie hiking/camping trip.Show moreTrip date: May 2024

Asked on April 26th, 2025I am really interested in this hike, but noticed it is not avaliable for the dates that work for me. I was wondering if there is any possibility you'd be able to squeeze an extra person on the hike departing either on the 22nd or 23rd of May 2025, please?
- TreXperienceOperator•Written April 2025
Currently, we already have group departures scheduled for May 23 and May 25. However, I must inform you that entry tickets to Machu Picchu are already sold out for May. We can still offer you the Salkantay Trek experience without the visit to Machu Picchu on the last available date. Additionally, we can offer you the opportunity to switch and join the 4-Day Inca Trail departure on May 25, where entry to Machu Picchu is still available.
