- SDSonja· May 28th, 2022great organisation, we even got snacks! The LaresTrek with Trexperience was the best part of our vacation in Peru. I 100% recommend it! We also booked tours in Cusco, they were much cheaper but always the same food, big groups and sometimes bad organisation... For a really great experience you should chose a good organisation like Trexperience :)Show more TreXperience commented on this reviewDear traveler, we highly value your kind comments, thank you! - WKWei· July 9th, 2021My daughter (11) and I had a great time. The guide Charley, cooks, horsemen, and driver were all extremely attentive and helpful. Inca trail was still closed but I was glad that we got to try lares lake trekking. We visited some villages with people still living in the Inca way and it was very impressive.Show more TreXperience commented on this reviewDear Wei Kong, thank you for your kind comments. Eric· December 29th, 2020Short review: HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend TreXperience for your next adventure. Elisban (our guide), Lorenzo (chef), Ramon (assistant chef), Victor (horsemen) and Elvis (driver) were absolutely TOP OF THE LINE! They accommodated our every need and made travelling during a pandemic as safe and secure as possible. Don't hesitate! Book now! Longer review: My partner and I booked a trek with TreXperience for November 2020 after Peru re-opened to US travel. We arrived in Cusco two days early as suggested but found out our original hike was no longer available due to COVID restrictions by the government. However, TreXperience had already put together an alternate trek that seemed even better than the original. This being COVID times we know to be flexible and agreed to the alternate trek (Huchuy Qosqo + Lares). Our guide Elisban arrived at our hotel to explain our trip and answer any questions. Even though we booked a group tour, we were the only two on our trek which made it even more special. We left the following day and spent the day with Elisban hiking to Huchuy Qosqo. The trek was strenuous but the views were amazing as were the ruins itself. Elisban explained a lot along the way about the sacred valley and was eager to answer any questions we had. The following day we started the Lares trek en route to Macchu Picchu. Everything about this trek was amazing! The views, the people, the mountains, the llamas, the alpacas, EVERYTHING! The hike can be very strenuous at times but Elisban taught us slow and steady wins the race and sure enough we made it up through the passes eventually; never feeling rushed! There are a thousand good things I could say about TreXperience but I'll just highlight a few: 1) The food! Amazing what Chef Lorenzo could come up with in the kitchen every day. He even baked us a full cake on day 4! For breakfast! He also catered to me as a vegetarian for EVERY SINGLE MEAL while also cooking meat for my partner. His assistant chef Ramon was a huge help and always there to bring out our food. No joke there were 5 or 6 dishes cooked/prepared for every meal. We never went hungy! 2) Elisban our guide was phenomenal. He really took the time to get to know us and relate to us and treat us like friends. And we definitely built a friendship by the end. He was extremely knowledgeable about Peru and the culture and the history. He obviously studied hard to get his certification and it showed! 3) Health and safety! We know we're in the middle of a global pandemic and travel is risky. However, Elisban and the crew were always wearing masks and spraying our hands with sanitizer before every meal. They kept us as safe as possible and it shows. 4) The extra mile! Every day we arrived in camp we were greeted with applause! They would bring us a hot water bowl and soap for our hands and feet every morning and evening! Did I mention CAKE FOR BREAKFAST! It's these special things that really go far in my mind because they aren't necessary to have a great adventure but absolutely make it very special. As I said I could go on and on but will end there and state again that I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend TreXperience for your next adventure!Show more Eric· December 29th, 2020Short review: HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend TreXperience for your next adventure. Kate· October 22nd, 2020I was so happy I went with this company. The guides were knowledgeable and made for a great experience. The food was INCREDIBLE! - JVJessica· March 12th, 2020The Lares Trek was incredible. Our tour guide Videl was amazing. He was so encouraging during the difficult parts, our safety and enjoyment was his only concern. He always put our needs first and he gave us so much historical information as well. Our chefs Basilio and Toribio were outstanding! They cooked us so much incredible delicious food that we could never eat iit all. They easily accommodated our food preferences and made countless homemade fresh healthy dishes through the trip. Marcelino and Samuel were our horseman who worked day and night to pack our belongings with smiles on their faces. They always went above and beyond even delivering coffee AND basins of hot water to wash in each morning right to our tents. This experience was life changing and I would highly recommend it.Show more TreXperience commented on this reviewDear Jessica , thank you for your kind reviews, We are really happy you enjoyed this adventure with us, come back soon!Trip date: March 2020 TreXperience commented on this reviewDear Jessica , thank you for your kind reviews, We are really happy you enjoyed this adventure with us, come back soon!Trip date: March 2020

- AFAna Margarida· November 11th, 2019In my opinion, Lares Trek was a rewarding experience! We had the opportunity to meet Inca citizens, view their houses and traditions. At the same time, we climbed different tough mountains surrounded by amazing views. All the staff (Guide: Elisban and Maribel; Chefs: Carmelo and Ramón; Horsemen: Víctor and Angel) worked hard to make our days easier. On the second day, I suffered from altitude sickness and all the team (especially: Maribel, Ramón and Elisban) gave me a lot of support! I’m very grateful to have had this experience, and to have shared it with all the people from other countries I’ve met!!Show more TreXperience commented on this reviewDear Ana , Thank you for your feedback!, Your kind comments help us keep on growing! - NPnatasha· October 16th, 2019My boyfriend and I had such an amazing “TreXperience” with the Lares Trek. Charly our tour guide was so incredibly knowledgeable- positive and full of passion for his country. The views were spectacular and we were treated like kings and queens. From the meals (that were amazing), to our porters- camp was even set up for us every time we arrived to the site after the day of trekking. Even after suffering from altitude sickness on the second day, continuing on was so worth it! The company uses porters and chefs from different areas- trying to employ fairly to help the locals that need work and they also give back to their local communities which is crucial for the both of us. We loved it! Thank you Charly and Trexperience!Show more TreXperience commented on this reviewDear traveler, we highly value your kind comments, thank you!
