Itinerary
- Day 1
Tangier to Chefchaouen to Fes
You'll get picked up in private transport when you arrive in Tangier or from your hotel, then head towards Chefchaouen in the Rif mountains. The town itself is famous for its blue-washed buildings, and you'll have a walking tour plus free time to wander around and check out the colorful flower pots and local streets. After that, you'll drive on to Fes for the night.

Fes
This day focuses on exploring Fes with several stops. You'll visit Borj Sud fortress from the 16th century for views over the city, then head to a pottery cooperative where local artisans show you traditional mosaic and pottery techniques. The Royal Palace and Jnan Sbil Gardens come next, but the main part is a guided walk through the UNESCO World Heritage Medina. You'll navigate the narrow alleys and shops, see the leather tanneries to learn about traditional dyeing, check out the Bou Inania Madrasa architecture, and find the Jewish quarter at Bab Mellah.

Fes to Merzouga
You'll drive towards Merzouga with several stops along the way. First is Ifrane, where the landscape feels like Moroccan Switzerland, then through the Middle Atlas Mountains and Azrou's cedar forest where you can see Barbary Apes. You'll stop in Midelt for lunch before continuing to Merzouga. After storing luggage at a hotel, you'll ride camels across the Erg Chebbi sand dunes to reach a desert campsite. The sunset from the dunes is followed by dinner at the campfire with drumming, music, and stargazing, then you'll sleep in a Berber tent.

Merzouga to Dades Valley
Start early to catch the sunrise over the Sahara, then ride camels back from the campsite to the hotel in Merzouga for a shower. After that, you'll visit Rissani souk to browse carpets, leatherware, and fossils. Following lunch, you'll head through the Tafilalet region, Morocco's largest Saharan oasis, and walk through the Todra Gorge. From there, you'll go to Dades Valley to see its unique rock formations, then have dinner and stay overnight at a Riad.

Dades Valley to Marrakech
You'll drive through the Valley of the Roses towards Ouarzazate, stopping at the UNESCO World Heritage Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a filming location for movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After lunch, the route takes you to Marrakech through the High Atlas Mountains and over the Tizi n Tichka pass with great landscape views and Berber villages. In Marrakech, you'll walk through Jemaa El-Fna square and browse the medina with its spice shops and traditional slippers before heading to your hotel.

You'll visit several historical sites in Marrakech including Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, and Menara Gardens, learning about their history and architecture. In the evening, there's an optional visit to the night market at Jemaa El-Fna square where you'll find storytellers, acrobats, and musicians. The tour ends after visiting the Jemaa El-Fna square.
