This tour was arranged for my clients. They absolutely LOVED the location of the first hotel, though there were some hiccups with the arrangements. They said the tours were good as well. The 4 stars come as a result of communication with the tour operator. Responses were not provided in a timely manner, which means I could not relay information to my clients in a timely manner.

Everything was great especially the guide in Uyuni. However the guide at La Paz just dumped us at the La Paz hotel who insisted we paid for early checkin when we arrived in the country and also when we arrive from Uyuni. This despite the operator having arrange all these itinerary based on our timing

Is this tour still available? My main priority is the salt fields. Is there an option where I can return to Lapaz on 29th to catch my flight on the 30th. Maybe I can leave earlier?

I'll be in Lima, Peru for business from 10-12November, and wanted to make a trip down to Bolivia after. I am from Singapore and don't have much experience with places with high altitude and I understand that La Pez has quite a high altitude. Wanted to know if there are tours that start at the salt flats and end in La Pez instead so I have time to build up some altitude resistance? I know that either way I'll probably have to take some medication etc. but thought it might be a more pleasant experience if I build my way up to La Pez. Also wanted to confirm if day 1 is just a free day in La Pez with transfer provided? What is the recommended route to get from Lima to La Pez? Just via flights? or would trains/buses be an option as well.

Regarding the altitude, Uyuni (salt flats) and La Paz have the same altitude, so there won't be a difference. If you Wish to get some resistance to the altitude at BOLIVIA, We recommend that you take a short trip (if you can) of 2 to 3 days to Cusco so that you can get used to the altitude and then head to Bolivia. Regarding the transportation at Bolivia: Yes, the first day is just the arrival transfer. You can get to Uyuni by flight or by bus (aprox a 10h ride).
