- Ssheila· August 26th, 2025I had a great time in Peru courtesy of Waman tours, they did a good job planning the whole itinerary and everything was very well organized including all the pick up times and I requested to check in early since I was arriving on a earlier flight in Lima and they took care of that as well. The flights from Lima to Cuzco were also taken care of by Waman tours which was very helpful. The itinerary was also packed which we liked as we got so see so many different part of Peru. Overall the whole tour was very organized and all the tour guides were exceptional as well. The only thing that was a downside was for the Machu Picchu tickets, we were booked for circuit 3 instead of circuit 2 so we didn't really get to see the parts of Machu Piccu we wanted to see, in the future it would be nice to explain the different circuits to travelers so they can decide which tour circuit they would prefer. Overall the tour was really good and well planned and I would recommend this tour to travelers interested in traveling to Peru.Show moreWaman Adventures commented on this reviewDear Sheila Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience with Waman Tours. Asked on August 3rd, 2025Is it possible to return to Lima to take flights from Lima to Mexico City, and what would be the cost?
- C
Clare
Traveler•Written August 2025If I want to add one more night in Lima on the last day, what would be the cost since the return flight to Mexico is at 5 in the morning?
- Waman AdventuresOperator•Written August 2025
This tour includes local flights, specifically from Lima to Cusco and from Cusco to Lima on the last day, so your clients won't have to worry about this detail. The only thing they should organize are their international flights: Day 1 arrival flight to Lima must be before 2:00 p.m., as the first tour starts at that time. Last day: International departure flight from Lima should be scheduled from noon onwards to have enough time to board the local flight.
- C
Clare
Traveler•Written August 2025How can we organize so that my clients do not spend many hours waiting at Lima airport for the flight?
- Waman AdventuresOperator•Written August 2025
We recommend adding pre-arrival accommodation so clients can check into their room as soon as they arrive. For the last night, we suggest organizing a night flight and staying at a hotel very close to the airport, such as Holiday Inn Airport, located just 7 minutes away. On the last day with a 5:00 a.m. departure, we'll provide airport transfer service.

Asked on July 26th, 2025Does this tour go to Machu Pichu - I understtand Peru ius limiting access
- Waman AdventuresOperator•Written July 2025
Unfortunately, for that month, there is no longer availability for Machu Picchu tickets. The closest available date with tickets for Circuit 1 is starting on August 22, for that date there are currently only 16 tickets left. So, if that date works for you, we highly recommend securing your reservation as soon as possible. Alternatively, you could consider traveling in later months, when there is more availability and flexibility.

Asked on July 26th, 2025Is this tour suitable for ages 70 and 75?
- Waman AdventuresOperator•Written July 2025
Regarding the tour, I'd like to ask about your current physical condition, as this itinerary includes a walking activity to Rainbow Mountain. You can reduce walking time by riding a horse. If you prefer to skip the hike, no problem - I can remove it from the itinerary and offer alternative activities in Cusco at no additional cost, or personalize your itinerary with other experiences in Lima.

Asked on July 20th, 2025what happens if not enough people attend the group? is there a cancellation policy/refund? will there be machu piccu climbing to see the view?
- Waman AdventuresOperator•Written July 2025
With a minimum of just 2 travelers, the tour is 100% guaranteed. Your selected departure is already confirmed for 2 adults. Here is our cancellation policy: Cancellations for Deals - No cancellations once booking has been made and confirmed. At the time we receive a written notice to cancel your trip, the following fees will be charged: -60 to 30 days before departure: 40% of trip cost, -29 to 7 days before departure: 60% of trip cost, -Less than 7 days before departure or no-show: 100% of trip cost. A visit to Machu Picchu is 100% guaranteed with the traditional circuit, which includes a complete guided tour of the citadel. Optional hikes to Machu Picchu Mountain or Waynapicchu Mountain are available at extra cost and subject to limited availability.

Traveler•Written July 2025if no other people finally make the group will the price we have remain a group price or not? Also, on January is lots of rain in Peru?? will this affect us a lot?
- Waman AdventuresOperator•Written July 2025
The price will remain the same even if only two of you join the group. Our tours are fully confirmed with a minimum of 2 travelers, and there are no additional charges if no other people join. January is part of the rainy season in Cusco and the Andean region, but this does not stop tours from running. Showers are usually brief and part of the experience. We recommend bringing a light rain jacket and good walking shoes, but overall, rain will not significantly affect your tour.

Asked on July 1st, 2025Could you please let me know if all the adventures including Machu Pichu, domestic flights, and accommodations are available for the group trip for July 23rd?
- Waman AdventuresOperator•Written July 2025
I'm happy to confirm that our package includes everything: accommodations, domestic flights, guided tours, and all activities—and the entrance ticket to Machu Picchu. But unfortunately, the Machupicchu tickets starting on July 23rd are already sold out. Our recommendation is to consider traveling in September or October, when Machu Picchu entrance tickets are still available and the weather is ideal for exploring.

Cindy
Asked on May 19th, 2025is there any other trip available for peru that includes Lima, machu pichu and cusco
- Waman AdventuresOperator•Written May 2025
For travel starting in May or June of this year, Machu Picchu entry tickets are completely sold out. No agency can offer availability for Machu Picchu during those months. We highly recommend planning your visit starting from July onward, when there are ticket availability.

Asked on May 18th, 2025Could you please let me know how many people have already booked the tour. Since I am interested in group tours only and not solo
- Waman AdventuresOperator•Written May 2025
We regret to inform you that, unfortunately, there are no Machu Picchu tickets available for the month of May due to high demand and limited availability. To ensure you can enjoy the full experience, we kindly recommend choosing a new travel date, preferably starting from July onward, when ticket availability improves significantly.

Asked on April 14th, 2025I am a 63 year old woman and want to know if I have alternative options if I wanted to avoid hiking on rainbow mountain. Is there any transport option to go to the top?
- Waman AdventuresOperator•Written April 2025
During this excursion, you will have the option to rent a horse, which can take you up to the base of the mountain, covering approximately 80% of the total walking distance. This service is arranged directly with the local muleteers at Rainbow Mountain and typically costs around 90 to 120 Peruvian soles. Please note that the final section of the trail, which involves stairs, must be done on foot. Alternatively, we can replace the activity with a scenic ATV tour to the Morada de los Dioses, including a panoramic view of the Piuray Lagoon.

Tania
Traveler•Written April 2025As I'm travelling solo, will I always be with the same group. Also in September, in your experience, how many people are there per group?
- Waman AdventuresOperator•Written April 2025
As of now, we don't have any travelers registered for the September 6th departure. However, some upcoming dates with confirmed participants are: August 31st - a couple is signed up, September 1st - 4 travelers confirmed, September 13th - 5 travelers confirmed. We offer daily guaranteed departures, so you can choose the date that suits you best.
- T
Tania
Traveler•Written April 2025So if no one else has signed up on the dates I'm interested in, will Waman be using other operators to fit the solo traveller into the itinerary?
- Waman AdventuresOperator•Written April 2025
Even if no one else signs up for the date you choose, our guides will still accompany you throughout the experience. The trip will definitely go ahead, even if you are the only traveler. We're committed to providing personalized service, whether for solo travelers or groups.
- Waman AdventuresOperator•Written April 2025
The maximum group capacity for the tour is up to 30 travelers, as for two activities, the boat tour in Paracas and the Route of the Sun, up to that number of participants typically sign up.

Asked on March 25th, 2025Are tickets available to hike Machu Picchu? What are hotel upgrade options and cost? Would it be feasible for me to make a 20:00 return flight out of Lima?
- Waman AdventuresOperator•Written March 2025
Yes! There are tickets available for your visit to the Machu Picchu citadel. If you're interested in adding Machu Picchu Mountain or Huayna Picchu Mountain, both are also available. Hotel upgrade options include Radisson Decapolis or Dazzler by Wyndham in Lima, Sonesta Cusco, Novotel in Cusco, and Mapi by Inkaterra or Jaya Machu Picchu in Aguas Calientes. All these hotels are 4-star category.
- K
Ken
Traveler•Written March 2025To add Machu Picchu Mountain, do I proceed with booking the trip and then notify you to add the mountain ticket? Same process for hotel upgrades (would like to first confirm pricing for the 4-star upgrade)?
- Waman AdventuresOperator•Written March 2025
You need to choose between Machu Picchu Mountain or Huayna Picchu. Huayna Picchu is a steeper climb with narrow trails, requiring good physical condition, with total hiking time of 2.5 to 3 hours. Machu Picchu Mountain is a less steep and wider trail, ideal for moderate challenge, with total hiking time of 3.5 to 4 hours. Payment for extras must be made in cash directly to your guide in Cusco.

Asked on March 7th, 2025Is it possible to move my trip to another date in case I can't make it on the days I booked? Is there a fee for that?
- Waman AdventuresOperator•Written March 2025
If you wish to modify your travel dates for personal reasons, we can offer you the minimum penalty. This penalty will specifically apply to the Machu Picchu tickets, as they are nominative and non-transferable. This means that once the tickets are issued, they are linked to your name and cannot be changed, transferred to another person, or modified in terms of dates. Additionally, train tickets issued by PeruRail also have their own penalties for changes or cancellations. Any date change will involve penalties for the Machu Picchu tickets, train tickets, and local flights based on the respective companies' policies.

Traveler•Written March 2025The tour group size says 2 - 20 people. I am travellimg solo. What happens if nobody else joins the tour on the days I booked? Will it be canceled?

Our departures are 100% guaranteed, allowing you to choose the date that best fits your itinerary with complete peace of mind, without worrying about cancellations due to group size. We currently have availability on several dates with confirmed participants.
