- VLADIMIR· July 27th, 2025Hello All, Our replacement tour has ended. We want to thank you for the perfect organization. All that we were able to see was amazing and definitely made us to plan our next visit to Iceland. Because of the unpleasant situation that arose with our trip, we would like to thank you for your understanding and full cooperation. Best regards, Vladimir and Teodora. P.S. Just a reminder that we are expecting the two letters from you about our unfulfilled six-day tour, a necessary requirement of our insurance company.Show more
- Ruth· May 6th, 2025BEST TRIP!!!! Joahann was an amazing guide. Everyday brought new surprises! I was wishing I could go home after 6 days and was surprised when Days 7 and 8 brought a whole new bunch of excitement! So glad it was 8 days - so much to see and do. Highly recommendShow more
- Rhonda· April 21st, 2025Just finished the 8d tour around Iceland. Was overall a fabulous trip and I would highly recommend it! Thor was absolutely fabulous. He made sure we saw everything including several extra stops which added extra value. Only thing I was not thrilled about was the horseback riding. The horses and people were fabulous. but would be better if we had more freedom to actually ride the horses and not just walk in a line on a trail. Iceland is a great country and people were all friendly.Show more

- Troll ExpeditionsOperator•Written December 2024
Here is a list of the hotels we usually use, keep in mind that this information can be confirmed only a few days prior to departure, as it depends on the availability: Hotel Drangshliðin, Hrífunes Guesthouse/ Hotel Glacier view, Hotel Island/Hotel Klettur/Reykjavik Lights, Stykkishólmur-Inn. Please feel free to get in contact again a few days before you start your tour, in case you would like to know for sure which accommodation you will be staying at.

Asked on November 30th, 2024Would it be possible to start this tour on the 9th? Also what recommendation would you have for an extra night and something to do on the morning of the next day.
- Troll ExpeditionsOperator•Written November 2024
Regarding extra activities in Reykjavik, we recommend considering a city walk, enjoy the hot bath or booking a whale watching tour.

Asked on October 8th, 2024Looking at flights that lands at about 6 am in Kef. Would just have carry-on luggages and head straight to Reykjavik. Wondering if that would be enough time to make it for the start of the tour.
- Troll ExpeditionsOperator•Written October 2024
If arriving early in the morning on the same day when your tour is meant to start, we could leave a note on the booking for the driver to know that you will arrive in town a bit later than 8am, and set you as the last client to be picked up. The latest time we can wait for you is 8.30. It takes around 1 hour for the airport shuttle bus to get to Reykjavik, without traffic; we strongly suggest you to take a taxi to Bus Hostel.

Asked on August 9th, 2024Any chance one person could slip into the Oct 13-17th trip. I already have a plane ticket that arrives early on the 13th and departs early evening on 18th. I'm very active and want to see and do a lot in that time. Really trying to avoid an older group hop on/off bus kind of tour.
- Troll ExpeditionsOperator•Written August 2024
Even solo can join our group for a multiday tours. You just need to pay for the single supplement fee to secure and guarantee your hotel accommodations.

Asked on February 27th, 2022We are a group of 6 and interested in this tour. We have the following questions: 1. Hotel Information (Number of stars) 2. Type of luggage (size and kg) allowed to bring in the bus. 3. In case the weather is bad, and some sites are not possible to visit, do we get a partial refund? 4. Luggage storage: can you please provide more details?
- Troll ExpeditionsOperator•Written February 2022
The hotels we use are 3 star hotels with private bathroom and breakfast included. You are allowed a small backpack on board and a 24 inch suitcase. If you have anything bigger than that, you are welcome to store it in our office while you are away on the tour. If you miss out on sights or activities during the tour, we always issue a partial refund. Luggage storage means that you store your extra luggage in our office while you are away. We will take good care of it.
