Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Cusco
Your Waman Adventures staff meets you at Cusco airport and drives you to the lodge in San Blas, which sits just a few minutes' walk from Plaza de Armas. At 5:00 pm, you'll gather with your expedition group for an orientation talk to go over the week ahead.

Moray - Salineras de Maras - Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes
After being picked up from your hotel, you'll head to Chinchero to see the colorful town and Inca walls alongside a colonial church. From there, you'll check out the circular terraces at Moray and then stop at the Salineras de Maras salt wells. Later in the afternoon, you'll make your way to Ollantaytambo station and take the train to Aguas Calientes for the night.

Machu Picchu
An early bus ride from Aguas Calientes gets you to Machu Picchu before the crowds arrive. Your guide leads a 2-hour tour through the Historical Sanctuary, explaining what you're seeing, and then you have the rest of the morning and early afternoon free to wander around and take photos. After lunch in town, you'll board the train back to Ollantaytambo, transfer to Cusco, and check back into your hotel by evening.

Peruvian Cuisine Cooking Class
You'll spend the day in a cooking class with a professional chef learning to prepare authentic Peruvian dishes from scratch. As you work through each recipe step by step, the chef shares the history behind each dish and talks about the unique Andean ingredients that give them their distinctive flavors.

Departure from Cusco
Your morning is free, so you can relax at the hotel or wander around Cusco on your own if you'd like. In the afternoon, depending on when your flight departs, you'll get a transfer to Cusco airport for your flight to Lima.
