- CFCarey· June 4th, 2022This was an amazing experience, The trip was memorable, but the staff made it unforgettable. Our guide, Ronald, was excellent. He was extremely knowledgeable, helpful in all ways, spoke English well, and was a great guy to spend time with. Our chef, Mario, was excellent—you can’t imagine the food he made for us. The selection and amount was abundant. There were just two of us, and we were well taken care of for the whole trip. Inkayni Peru Tours is the best!Show moreTrip date: May 2022
- Monica· November 2nd, 2021What an amazing experience. One must climb the Inca trail to get to Machu Picchu in order to appreciate the enormity of it's beauty. We were so well cared for and taken care of on this once in a lifetime trip.Show moreTrip date: October 2021
- MMatthewBilder· July 13th, 2021For me, the distinguishing point of difference with OneSeed Expedtions is the extraordinary guides and staff who guide you along your journey. The Salkentay trek reaches an altitude of 15,000 feet and I can recall sleeping in my tent at the foot of a mountain, wind whirling around, and from that height we continued our journey downwards along a trail which had a coffee plantation in a cloud forest among other attractions. Our guide knew both Inca languages (Quecha and the other I can't remember) and we were accompanied by a guide, cook and horses that carried our bags. We stopped at Aguas Calientes eponymously known for its warm springs and stopped in town to visit the local shops before we ventured to Machu Picchu. Like life, travel is about the people you meet along the way and shared experiences. I've taken 3 wonderful trips (Annapurna short trek, Lost City, Colombia, and Machu Picchu with OneSeed. All staffed with knowledgeable and friendly guides making sure you have a memorable and safe experience.Show moreTrip date: September 2018

- EEnidChiu· August 14th, 2018What a wonderful experience! This expedition had a great balance of historical foundation, adventures in nature, delicious food, and cultural immersion. John was a fantastic guide who really enhanced the overall experience. I unfortunately got altitude sickness one of the earlier days, but all of the guides quickly mobilized to taken active and ensure I was well cared for. I am so glad to have seen this part of the world in such a special way. And I feel blessed that I now have friends to visit in Peru!Show moreTrip date: August 2018
- CCarolynHinrichs· June 11th, 2018The hike was very difficult, partially because my husband and I are 63 and 57, respectively. That being said, however, it was VERY rewarding to actually complete the hike and see Machu Picchu on the last day. One Seed thought of everything.....transportation was seamless, guide was knowledgeable, meals were outstanding and the helpers on the trip were amazing. We had a fabulous time.Show moreTrip date: June 2018

Asked on April 6th, 2024I want to do the Salkantay trek and am traveling solo on a "Middle of the road" budget. Can you accommodate?
- OneSeed ExpeditionsOperator•Written April 2024
We do have a group expedition scheduled for Apr 20 - 27, 2024. We have 2024 departures on sale for $1,365 USD, regularly $1,950. A $300 solo supplement would apply and would include private hotel rooms and tents.

Asked on June 27th, 2022Does this Salkantay trail includes the Inca Trail? I'm interested on doing Huayna Pichu Mountain and Machu Pichu Mountain does your company provide these tours?
- OneSeed ExpeditionsOperator•Written June 2022
The Salkantay trail does not include trekking along the classic 'Inca Trail'. You do hike along some Inca paths. Entrance to Huayna Pichu Mountain and Machu Picchu Mountain is not included on the tour. You can purchase side hike tickets in advance after confirming your Machu Picchu entrance time.

Asked on February 8th, 2022Where do we stay overnight (tents/cabins), and how much time do we have in/near Machu Pichu? I am a photographer and would want 2 days+ on-site. Maybe a custom tour?
- OneSeed ExpeditionsOperator•Written February 2022
Our standard 'Ultimate Machu Picchu' trip includes trekking on the Salkantay trail, is an 8 day trip that begins and ends in Cusco. We can arrange a custom and private trip for you with 2 days at Machu Picchu ruins. You would stay in Aguas Calientes, with one night there during the trek.
