Itinerary
- Day 1
Tangier to Chefchaouen to Fes
A driver picks you up at Tangier port and takes you through the Rif mountains. You'll pass through Tetoun city where the views really open up before arriving in Chefchaouen. The Spanish-style square there is something you won't find many other places, with its color combinations and craft stores lining the streets. After wandering around and grabbing a coffee at one of the cafés, it's on to Fes where you'll spend the night in a traditional riad.

- Day 2
Fes to Midelt
Following breakfast, your guide takes you through the Fes medina to see the historic University of Al Karaouine, Moulay Idriss, and Nejjarine Fountains. The Tanneries are on the route too, which is something most people want to check out. After that, you head south through the Middle Atlas mountains, driving past Ifrane and Azrou before reaching Midelt for the night. Supper and breakfast are included with your accommodation.

Midelt to Merzouga
You'll travel through the Tizi Ntalghamt pass where the High Atlas Mountains come into view along with the Ziz Gorges cut through volcanic rock. Continuing toward the Ziz Valley, the drive takes you through Errachidia, Erfoud, and Rissani before arriving in Merzouga. Staff welcome you with mint tea, then you get on a camel to head out and watch the sunset from the sand dunes, which are the highest in Morocco.

- Day 4
Merzouga to Ouarzazate
Start early to catch the sunrise from the Sahara's largest sand dunes. A camel trek brings you into Merzouga where breakfast and a hot shower wait for you. From there, the route goes through Rissani and Tinghir, then into the Todra Gorges which are really something to see. By evening, you'll be in Ouarzazate staying at a traditional riad with supper and breakfast provided.

- Day 5
Ouarzazate to Marrakech
After breakfast, you're driven to Ait Ben Haddou, Morocco's largest kasbah and a UNESCO site, where a local guide walks you through it. Next comes the drive over Tizi 'n' Tichka pass at 2260m with stops to take in the High Atlas scenery. An argan oil cooperative visit happens during this leg, and lunch gets served in the mountains. You'll reach Marrakech in the late afternoon with time to check out Jamaa Lafna square before settling into a riad in the medina for the night.
