- ONOFRE· April 3rd, 2024This trip was few years back. It was just a day trip from Bulgaria to Romania. It was good but not great to see the Bran Castle or the Castle of Dracula. I thought it was creepy & scary, not at all! But it satisfied my curiosity. The book is more macabre to read but the castle amazing. Then walked around the city of Brasov. Any place I visit for the first time is always intriguing and fascinating. We passed by the beautiful houses of the so-called Romanian Gypsies (per tour guide). Maybe he just want to crack a joke. Overal, I liked it.Show moreTrip date: August 2018
- David· October 14th, 2023I have just completed 2 x day trips organised by Trip2ro. The 'Dracula's Castle and Transylvania' trip and the 'Transfagarasan Road' trips. Both were extremely well run and very informative, I would like to thank George for his assistance in helping organise the trips. The guide Serban who was entertaining, informative and a very safe driver. The scenery was spectacular, and the lunches were also delightful. I would recommend Trip2ro for anyone travelling to Romania. They were honest, and thoughtful in their rescheduling my time in Bucharest. Thanks George and Serban for the memories.Show moreTrip date: September 2023
- Anna· July 6th, 2023If ranking the overall experience, it must be 20 out of 5. If ranking the tour operator´s contribution to this splendid experience, it´d be three. I don´t think I learned as much about the region's history as I´d have liked. However, the country is breathtaking, and the route is really well-planned. I want to express special gratitude to our guide for his excellent driving skills and friendliness.Show moreTrip date: July 2023
- Carolina· July 5th, 2023It's a wonderful region and the itinerary is stellar, full of beautiful, unforgettable sights. Our guide was an excellent driver and very friendly, but we felt he lacked a bit in terms of in-depth knowledge of the places and things we were seeing. Nevertheless, in general it was an amazing experience and we can't wait to return to Romania!Show moreTrip date: July 2023
- SCsheryl· May 10th, 2023Narcis was my tour guide. I adored him. He took me all over Transylvania. It was magical and beautiful. Narcis is the best driver too. I ❤️ him.Show moreTrip date: May 2023
- Lucy· February 21st, 2020We started off the tour as strangers and ended it as friends. I took the 3 day Dracula tour of Transylvania which ended up being a private tour as it was low season, and I will be forever grateful to everyone at Trip2ro for not cancelling! Liviu was a great tour guide, full of knowledge and passion about Romania and its rich history. The recommendations were great, the hotels were spot on and since I was the only one on the tour, Liviu was super flexible. In low season, some of the castles are closed and so my trip was done in the opposite direction so that I could see everything. I got to eat at some pretty special local restaurants with great food and company! Liviu, thank you to both you and your wife for giving me an amazing experience and I hope to see you both very soon!Show moreTrip2ro commented on this reviewThank you very much Lucy for your kind review and we are waiting to join also a Balkan Tour :)Trip date: February 2020

- GSgloria· October 18th, 2018George was not my guide. Vlad Ilie was the guide and he was excellent - the only low mark was the itinerary - I thought I would just have a short time after arrival with a view of the city then check in to my hotel - did not plan for a full day and I was too tired to do the whole schedule. I would suggest pick up at airport, drive through to see sights before hotel, 2nd day do the dracula castle, 3rd day do the parliment and museum and any other sights in town. Overall this was well worth the money and Vlad's information, explanation of events, and general conversation made this a worthwhile trip. Thanks Vlad and best wishes to your familyShow moreTrip2ro commented on this reviewHello Gloria, Thank you for your review and we are very happy to hear that you have enjoyed the tour. - Melania· July 7th, 2018This tour was average. The first night I was there the guide suggested an authentic Romanian restaurant and i agreed to go. We got the bill, and the guide made no attempt to pay. I asked him, which part of the bill was mine, he acted like he didn’t understand me. Basically, we went to a restaurant he wanted to go to so he wouldn’t have to pay. This was after he ordered alcohol, soup, and a main course. The second day a nice couple joined the tour, and the guide kept pushing that he take them to a restaurant. I warned th couple that the guide was going to leave them the bill. They opted not to go to dinner with him. The tour guide’s driving was insane. If you have ever been to Bucharest then you understand how crazy the traffic is, but he continued to drive crazy outside of town. He was cutting people off, tailgating, honking, and cussing at the drivers. Now, I don’t understand Romanian, but I’m quite sure he was not saying nice things. I wanted to see how many times he would honk at a car, and I stopped counting after around 18. I might have enjoyed the beautiful scenery of Romania, but I was fearing for my life throughout the drive. I urge travelers to go to Romania, but try to get a different guide. Trip2Ro did provide awesome accommodations, and a great itinerary.Show moreTrip2ro commented on this reviewHello Melania, We are sorry for the behavior of our tour guide Michael and we appreciate a lot the feedback received by our tourist and for this we decided to don't work any more with this tour guide because we want to deliver the best services and we... Asked on May 17th, 2023I have a question about the vehicles that will be used for transportation. I have extreme claustrophobia and don't do well in the back seats of vans if there are multiple rows. Charter buses or vehicles with tall ceilings and individual seats aren't an issue. What type of vehicle would likely be used for this tour?
- Trip2roOperator•Written May 2023
Usually we use a minivan that has 3 rows. The only solution would be to have a seat in front, on the first row or the second.
