- MMaria· September 25th, 2025Hello, when we planned this trip, we were filled with joy at the opportunity to visit the sites where the Virgin Mary appeared, with a great eagerness to learn more about this special place and to delve deeper. We went with an open heart, ready to spiritually enrich ourselves through a positive experience. However, that was not the case. Unfortunately, the person assigned as our guide was very disorganized, lacked sufficient knowledge about the places to be visited, communicated poorly, and had a negative and rude attitude. Some of the locations listed in the itinerary were not visited. It saddens us that a trip was offered that did not come to fruition. I hope improvements are made so that future travelers do not return with the same impression.Thank you.Show more

There is no adverse effect to not attending mass. We simply ask that all travelers coordinate their expected times and locations to the Tour Manager while in-destination to assure we have a smooth program for you. We always want to make sure you understand the amount of time you have during each visit, so there is built in flexibility. The included meals tend to be group oriented, but there are always exceptions made due to restaurant size, unknown circumstances, diner preferences/restrictions, or Tour Manager's judgement calls. In terms of being 'staggered' we are assuming wanting to join the meal at a different hour than the rest of the group? or maybe even in a smaller group; if so, we unfortunately cannot accommodate those types of requests in advance. Again, coordinating with our Tour Manager and the restaurant during your included meal would be the most recommended action. We appreciate the question and your understanding of the limitations when catering to a full group of travelers. Our team strategically chooses our hotels included on the tour to maximize the amenities and attractions available to you, while keeping you in a great location. These hand-picked properties are a staple of our programs. While we do not make a guarantee that hotels will remain as they are currently since there are things that are outside of Collette's control, such as property closures, environmental concerns, civil matters, etc., what we do count on are quality standards that would take us from one of the planned properties to another as a contingency while maintaining the integrity of the tour since we would still be staying at accommodations with 4-stars or above in quality of service. Moreover, if we ever change a tour hotel, Collette strives for clarity and transparency with our programs, so you will be notified about the change and the substitution or tour update as it is made.

Per the itinerary, on day 9 while in Barcelona, you are free to add the visit to Montserrat onto your reservation as an optional excursion for the price of $60.00 USD per person. The optional excursion includes a leisurely drive through picturesque villages brings you to majestic Montserrat Mountain, soaring 4,320 feet above sea level. A local guide will lead you on a tour exploring the area's most important sights. While here, stroll the grounds of the 8th-century monastery and see its famous Romanesque sculpture of the "Black Virgin," patron saint of Catalonia. This is also the site of many pilgrimages and where Christopher Columbus brought missionaries to pay homage. Duration: approximately 5 hour(s). Your transportation is included.

While we cannot accommodate with another tour group for the extra days, we can review options for an after tour deviation to Madrid that could potentially include rates for hotels and/or flights, depending on what your travel needs may be.
