You'll check out the main plaza, a ritual bath, and see inlaid stone llamas carved into the landscape. The site sits 1,600m above the Apurimac and stayed hidden from Spanish conquistadors until discovery, which happened before Machu Picchu became famous. Most of it remains unexcavated and covered in jungle. By evening you head back to the campsite.

This was a great experience! I would definitely recommend it. The itinerary was perfect, with the first day to acclimatize, second day summit, and third day return to Cusco. We even got to visit the hot springs in Pacchanta. My guide Irvin was simply amazing. He was super positive, motivational, and very knowledgeable. I would love to tour with Unu Raymi again.
