Itinerary
- Day 1
Cuzco
You'll arrive in Cuzco today and make your own way to your accommodation. After you get settled, the rest of the day is yours to spend however you'd like. Take some time to walk around the city, grab a meal, or just rest up before the adventure starts.
- Day 2
Cuzco to Santa Maria
Head out early from Cuzco by van toward Ollantaytambo for breakfast and some snacks. From there you'll drive up to Malaga High Pass, then get ready for a 2.5-hour mountain bike ride down through jungle and fruit plantations. After that, you'll hit the Urubamba River for 2.5 hours of rafting through class III and IV rapids. By evening you'll reach a rustic guesthouse in Santa Maria where you'll stay the night.

Santa Maria to Santa Teresa
Following an early breakfast, you'll start hiking through jungle mountains with nice views and lots of wildlife and plants around. Lunch happens about halfway through the trek to give you a break. Then you'll continue on to Santa Teresa village where you're staying at a guesthouse. There's optional access to hot springs if you want to relax your legs after hiking.

Landmarks/POIs Santa Teresa Village - Day 4
Santa Teresa to Aguas Calientes
Start your day with a 2-hour canopy zip-line experience through the treetops on South America's highest zip-line system. After that, you'll take an easy 3-hour hike along the train tracks heading toward the Hydroelectric Station for lunch. From there it's another 3 hours on foot to Aguas Calientes, though there's an optional train ride if your legs need a break. Once you arrive, you can take a proper shower and settle into a comfortable hotel for the night.

Machu Picchu & Return to Cuzco
Catch an early bus to Machu Picchu and arrive in the early morning light when it's less crowded. You'll get a guided walking tour lasting about 2 hours, then you can explore on your own for a while. There's an optional peak climb available if you have the energy for it. Later, you'll take a bus back to Aguas Calientes and check out the local marketplace. After that, hop on the tourist train to Ollantaytambo, then catch a bus back to Cuzco where you'll arrive around 8:00pm.
