Itinerary
- Day 1
Victoria Falls to Hwange National Park
Start by heading to Victoria Falls, called 'Mosi-oa Tunya' or 'the smoke that thunders' by locals, to kick off your safari. From there, you'll drive to Hwange National Park, one of Zimbabwe's largest protected areas, where you'll get your first look at the wildlife you came to see. The park has a lot of diversity, so keep your eyes open for different animals and birds as you settle in for the evening.

Hwange National Park
This is a full day of game viewing in Hwange National Park. If you've added the activity package, your guides pick you up early and spend the entire day driving through the park in an open 4x4 vehicle. You'll be looking for the Big Five along with other plains game and birdlife. The early start helps, since animals are more active in cooler hours.

Landmarks/POIs Hwange National Park - Day 3
Hwange to Bulawayo via Matopos National Park
After breakfast, you'll head south toward Bulawayo, Zimbabwe's second largest city. Around noon, you arrive at Matopos National Park for a guided tour. This UNESCO World Heritage site is known for its unusual rock formations and is home to both Black and White Rhinoceros. You'll return to Bulawayo in the evening and stay there for the night.

Bulawayo to Masvingo - Great Zimbabwe Ruins
Today you travel to Masvingo to see the Great Zimbabwe Ruins, which are historically significant and once served as the capital of the Great Zimbabwe kingdom. At noon, a guide takes you through the site so you can see the intricate stonework and learn about this important part of Zimbabwean history. The archaeological details tell the story of an early civilization that built something really substantial.

Masvingo to Bulawayo
You'll drive back to Bulawayo from the Great Zimbabwe Ruins, getting there around midday. Once you arrive, your guide leads you on a historical tour of the city so you can understand its past and see key landmarks. After that tour wraps up, you head to your hotel for dinner and your final night.

Bulawayo to Johannesburg
