I took my time to write this review. India is epic, and I’m glad I joined this tour. All the guides were super friendly. The driver spoke some English and was incredibly helpful—he even slowed down the car so I could take photos through the window (I told him it was okay, haha). As with most tours, minor issues did happen, but the guides handled them professionally. Overall, I had a good experience. Would I travel with the Golden Triangle India tour operator again? Yes. ____ ⭐ TourRadar Review – Caution Advised (1 Star) This rating is for TourRadar as a booking platform, not the tour itself. TourRadar acts as a middleman between travelers and local operators. When everything goes well, it’s fine. But if something goes wrong, you’re mostly left to deal with it on your own. I’ve completed four tours through TourRadar. Three were okay. But my Sri Lanka tour with Mango Vacations was a disaster. For weeks, the operator didn’t respond to my questions about pickup arrangements. Then, just one week before departure, they finally replied—saying the tour couldn’t go ahead. They offered a last-minute change to the itinerary or cancellation. At that point, I had already booked non-refundable flights. It felt like a textbook bait-and-switch tactic—intentional or not. Mango Vacations advertises 17 different tours as having daily departures, which raises serious doubts about whether they even have the capacity to deliver what they promise. If you’re a non-EU traveler or based in a country where TourRadar has no local presence, you have little to no consumer protection. In such cases, it might be better to have a local travel agent contact the tour operator directly—so you’re protected under your local consumer rights if something unfair happens. Booking through TourRadar is a gamble. If it works, great. Trip date: March 2024 - Beth· April 19th, 2025Well organised, driver was so friendly and helpful throughout, local guides varied day to day (some better than others). Always felt safe and covered so many sights each day. Also got some amazing pics because the guides will take loads even without you asking! Tour leader was in contact throughout and always happy to help. You’ll need £10-20 (1000-2000 rupees) per day for entrances to some of the attractions, and tips (mainly for daily guide but also some services like toilets, rickshaw ride etc.) - nothing is expensive but the small amounts add up. You can eat cheaply especially if you make the most of breakfast and eat in the hotel in the evening (where the food is actually really good!!). 3-star hotel in Delhi is very basic (but no issues!) but Agra and Jaipur were very nice even for only 3-star. Asked on February 1st, 2025I will be travelling to India for work 01-08th March and am planning to book onto this tour for the following week (08-14th March). The itinerary looks amazing and the price is great! I will be receiving the relevant documentation/invitation letter to apply for my visa this week, but am concerned that TourRadar's mega sale offers end this week. Are there likely to be further sales? Or would it be possible to secure the current price (519 for solo traveller) with a small deposit? I am reluctant to pay the full amount before my visa is confirmed, but am definitely committed to joining the tour.
