Arrival in Accra
Your Eyali Tours representative will greet you at Kotoka International Airport when you land. After settling into your hotel, you'll get a quick rundown of what's ahead during your time in Ghana and then have the evening to rest and adjust to the new time zone.

Accra
An early morning drive takes you through Accra's oldest neighborhoods, particularly James Town where you'll see colonial-era structures. The day includes stops at James Fort and Ussher Fort to walk through the historical sites. Later, you'll tour Christianborg Castle in Osu, a Danish fort built in 1661 that served as Ghana's presidential palace until 2007.

Accra to Cape Coast
After breakfast, the drive heads toward Ghana's central coast with stops at Fort William and Fort Amsterdam, both colonial-period forts that still stand today. The route continues to Cape Coast where you'll check in and have the rest of the day to settle in.

Cape Coast
Following breakfast, you'll explore Cape Coast Castle, built by the British in 1665 and used as a slave trading center, along with nearby forts in the area. Then it's on to Elmina Castle, the oldest standing building in sub-Saharan Africa from 1482 and constructed by the Portuguese. You'll have time to walk through the surrounding forts before heading back to your hotel.

Cape Coast to Accra
Kakum National Park is where you'll walk across suspended bridges high above the forest canopy for a different perspective on the landscape. Hiking through the virgin forest, your guide will point out various trees and explain their medicinal and spiritual significance to local communities. After that, the drive back to Accra takes the rest of the day, and you'll be dropped at a location of your choice.
