- Patrick· May 17th, 2025The tour got off to a slightly delayed start on the first hiking day - we were scheduled to leave at 9:30 but didn’t depart until 10:30 and had to organizing food and other logistics after that too. We also experienced a car malfunction on the way to the hiking gate and had to switch vehicles, which caused a bit of extra waiting. Despite these small hiccups, the overall journey was enjoyable. The hike went well for me as a solo hiker, though I wished there had been more interaction with the crew. It seemed many of them didn’t speak English very well, so I often found myself on my own. This wasn’t a problem for me personally, but it could be for others, especially on trips like this where group dynamics matter. Our guide Tolisa was cheerful and helpful throughout, and a special thanks to Fatuma for the wonderful food at the hotel! A couple of things to keep in mind: tipping expectations aren’t clearly explained in the itinerary and can easily add up by surprise $400 to $600 to the overall cost. Also, stable internet access in the rooms would be a welcome improvement, as the connection was often unreliable. Overall, it was a rewarding and memorable experience.Show more
- Aahsan· February 7th, 2025We chose the 8 day Lemosho route and the trip was well planned and organised by KWESA. All of the staff from the porters to the waiters, chefs and guides were very helpful. I unfortunately became ill at base camp and had to return back down the mountain and the porters provided invaluable support in helping me down. Guide Kessy also accompanied me back down the mountain, keeping me in great spirits and making sure I reached the bottom safely. Kessy’s great personality and excellent English made him a great guide and companion to have on the mountain. My thanks to him and the team for an amazing adventure.Show more
