This was my third trip with Feel Free, and it was another amazing experience. From hiking to surfing, early mornings to wild nights out, you experience so much in just 12 days. There’s so much amazing nature to see and culture to experience, so much food to eat, it’s incredible that we managed to do it all. Jamie was a fantastic group leader, energetic, funny and knowledgable, she knocked it out of the park ❤️ 2 stars, since the pools were all hot.. just kidding 5 stars, would recommend 🤩😆 (not kidding about the pools though, they are hot) 🥵

I just finished the Sri Lanka tour and I am at a loss for words. All credit goes to Feel Free and Jamie for showing how us how beautiful Sri Lanka is. Feeling completely comfortable, safe and having a smile on my face at all times, this is a MUST. I am also a returning customer, having completed the Bali tour in October, I am now tempted to do the rest of these tours by Feel Free. Jamie deserves a special shout out for genuinely just being such a great leader. We have such different characters in a group like this and the way that she brought us together and showed us how much she loved the country through her lived experiences was so special. This is the best way to visit Sri Lanka and I will recommend this to everyone who will listen. Thank you!

It was my first travel with the group and I'm so glad that I've chose the Feel Free travel. Honestly, first of all I've booked the trip to Sri Lanka very late and very spontanious as I happend to be just arround the corner in India for some business. As all the bookings were closed by that time, I've wrote the message to feel free travel and they agreed to "sqeeze" me in the groop as I was a solo traveller 😊 Everything from there went really fast and just an hour later my trip was booked. The trip itself was very good organized, and offered a good mix of activities and entertainment. Accomodations we stayed in were really carefully selected and offered the best stay experience. Oh, i forgot to mention that there were surprises waiting for us which were really amazing! And of course, the trip would not be the same without two amazing people: our group leader Jaimie who took care of all our wishes and was a true group spirit, was really helpful if we needed anything and our kind hearted local guide Ian who was sharing not only the countrie's history but also his knowledge about each of the places we went to, happend to be an amazing friend and always went an extra mile making our trip unforgetable! You literally could not wish for anyhing more, just enjoy this experience! Thank you guys! 😉

A trip I'll remember for the rest of my life. The hotels were great, Sri Lanka magical, but above all Jamie and Ian were incredible. Ian shared his culture and his passion with us. I didn't feel like I was traveling with an agency, but with friends, and that was really great! I'd recommend it with my eyes closed because it was a truly incredible experience.

This was my third trip with Feel Free (second led by Jamie) and Sri Lanka was unforgettable. The activities, the accommodation and the overall organisation was top tier once again. Everything was so easy and they really go out of their way to make the trip special with some surprises and nice touches along the way. Most importantly, met some incredible people on this trip! I can't say enough about the tour lead Jamie, she really made the trip - always incredibly friendly and helpful and I was delighted to be part of her tour again. It was great to have the local guide Ian with us the whole way also, he really seemed to love bringing us along and by the end he felt like one of the group. Had the time of my life and I really recommend this trip to anyone considering it!

I can’t express how amazing this trip was. It was the first time I was doing something like this, and I felt very comfortable and safe the whole time. Our group leader Jamie and our local guide Ian were absolutely fantastic!! Jamie is full of energy, constantly smiling and gave us the best experience ever. Ian had some great knowledge up his sleeve (and dance moves!) about Sri Lanka, the food, the culture, the history, which was very interesting to learn about. I was very impressed with the accommodation throughout the trip too - very comfortable and clean, with great beds, breakfasts and pools! In terms of the tour itself, it was 10/10. It was a perfect mix of culture and adventure, with a couple of evenings out. And the surprises were incredible and probably one of my favourite parts of the trip! The bus journeys were comfortable and easy, usually with 3 hour journeys being split with a short activity or lunch in between. Overall, I can’t fault anything. I loved everything about it and couldn’t recommend this enough to anyone thinking about solo travelling. Thank you Feel Free!

The Sri Lanka trip met and exceeded all of my expectations! The activities were brilliant and allowed us chance to see this beautiful country with the perfect mix of culture, nature, adventure and beach! Everything was planned to perfection and the little surprise activitires along the way went down a storm. The trip was made equally incredible by the staff. Our Group Leader Jamie was organised, enthusiastic and was able to solve any issue before it even became an issue. Ian our local guide kept us all entertained with his jokes, quizzes and playlist. And Chander our bus driver always on time with a smile on his face! I can't recommend the trip enough, so if you are thinking about it - get it booked!

This is my second trip with Feel Free travel, and it did not disappoint. The trip was well organised, there was a good mix of activities that meant that you experience all the best that Sri Lanka offers, but also had time to relax and enjoy the pool. Our group leader Jamie and our local guide Ian were fantastic. Jamie was lovely, watching for alll the needs of the group. She encouraged me to try snorkelling in the choppy waters and held my hand, as I was not a fan of the waves. Ian was passionate with telling us about his country, and had a few surprise activities to entertain us on the bus journeys. Highlights were the safari, hiking with great views, picking and learning about tea, trying out Sri Lankan and Indian food and meeting new people. I would highly recommend this trip to any solo traveller that doesn’t want to organise and plan their own trip and has the bonus of bringing like minded people together for 12 days.

I'm interested for a package of 5D4N for 2 (with my mother 70 yrs old, rather active still). We will be arriving/departing from Colombo international airport on 15th April, can i find a suitable package covering all the important touristy spots of Sri Lanka, hoping would be a memorable one for my mother. She would love to explore Ramayana related places, and if possible to include whale watching too.

We have customers who are young students and gap year backpackers eager to join others on their first-ever solo adventure. It would be unfair for us to accept bookings from travellers outside of the 18-39 age range that we set for our groups. I would suggest looking at companies like G Adventures, One Life Adventures, or Intro Travel. I know they have a much more flexible demographic than we do, and they offer very similar group trips.

    • Feel Free TravelOperatorWritten December 2024

We advertise our trips to 18-39-year-olds. Most of our travellers are in their 20s and 30s, with a slightly higher average age on our Sri Lanka trips (typically 25-35). If you're within the age range and your husband is just outside, you're both very welcome to join us. Just be prepared to share the trip with younger travellers. We generally find that age on our trips is very much just a number, and everyone gets along brilliantly.

    Asked on October 5th, 2024

When should I arrive on the first day of the tour? What time does the tour start?

    Tour Details
    • Feel Free TravelOperatorWritten October 2024

We suggest arriving during the middle of the 1st day. This gives you time to freshen up before dinner and drinks. You can arrive anytime that works for you, but aim for midday to avoid early check-in. Plans on the 1st day are relaxed with dinner and drinks before properly starting on Day 2 morning.

What time do you head out on the second day? Will there be taxi service if I arrive late at night? What luggage should I bring? Can I wash clothes during the trip? Is it okay to bring a laptop? Do I need to bring towels?

    • Feel Free TravelOperatorWritten October 2024

We head out in Tuk Tuks around 9am on Day 2. We can arrange transport no matter what time you arrive. Backpacks are more common luggage. There are laundry opportunities throughout the trip, especially in Ella. Bringing a laptop is fine. We can't guarantee absolute security but haven't had issues before. Specific details about luggage storage can be discussed.

Are we able to fly into Colombo International Airport or do we need a specific airport?

    • Feel Free TravelOperatorWritten October 2024

Bandaranaike International airport is the same as Colombo's International Airport. Colombo International Airport Ratmalana is a domestic airport and cannot be used for international flights.

    • Feel Free TravelOperatorWritten January 2025

Someone will be at the airport with a Feel Free Travel logo sign to pick you up. You do not need to check out the next day as you'll stay in the same room until the group departs. No other travelers are on your specific flight, but another traveler arrives an hour after you.

Could you please confirm if the tour price includes all entry tickets and activities listed in the itinerary? Additionally, are there any additional costs that I should be aware of that are not included in the initial tour price, such as optional activities, tips, or personal expenses?

Our trips include most of the big ticket items like twin share accommodation, all awesome activities mentioned on our itinerary, local experiences, secret stops along the way, local guides, a group leader and a handful of meals. With the meals included, You should expect almost all your breakfasts to be included to allow us to get the best out of each day. You'll also get a few lunches on day trips and the odd dinner. You just need to book your flights, arrange travel insurance and have some spending money for those extra meals, drinks and of course some pennies for shopping/massages/extra cocktails. There really are no hidden costs as we show exactly what is and isn't included for you to see.

All solo travellers will pair up with other travellers of the same sex… girls with girls & guys with guys. If you are travelling with a friend, let us know, and we can put you together… same if you are travelling as a couple, we will arrange a double room where possible. You can upgrade during the booking form if you’d like your own room.

Do we stay in hostels or hotels?

    Accommodation
    • Feel Free TravelOperatorWritten February 2024

The accommodation on our trips is something we do better than anyone else, and our tours definitely wouldn’t be the same without the awesome places we stay. We’ve handpicked these places to give you the perfect balance of comfort, security and convenience. We really do love where we stay, and so do all our happy travellers ?

When should I book my return flight?

    Flights / Transfers
    • Feel Free TravelOperatorWritten February 2024

We always suggest booking your return flight later on the final day. This will give you plenty of time to get back to the airport and enough time to say your goodbyes and leave without any stress or worries. The airport is approximately 20-45 minutes from the hotel in Ho Chi Minh.

    What happens after my tour?

    Tour Details
    • Feel Free TravelOperatorWritten February 2024

It really depends from group to group… sometimes we’ll have a whole bunch of people hanging out once the tour has finished, travelling for days, weeks or even months together. But in others, you’ll have many people going their separate ways. As the trip unfolds, you’ll soon learn about each other's travel plans and share ideas for what adventures lie ahead. The hardest part is saying your goodbyes and giving your last big hugs to the people leaving straight after the trip ends.
