Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Negombo
Your driver meets you at Bandaranaike International Airport holding a sign with your name. From there, it's about an hour's drive to Negombo where you'll check into your accommodation. After freshening up, you can spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool and getting your bearings. Come evening, head out to a local restaurant for dinner and drinks to kick things off.

Negombo to Dambulla
The team gathers you for a welcome chat to go over any questions about what's ahead. After breakfast, a tuk-tuk takes you through local markets where you can browse and pick up anything that catches your eye. From there, you'll drive to Dambulla to visit the Golden Cave Temple, a sacred hand-carved site built into the hillside. By late afternoon, head back to cool off with a sunset swim in the pool.

Dambulla & Sigiriya
Early morning hike up Pidurangala gives you sweeping views of Sigiriya Lion Rock in the distance. Afterward, you'll check out Sri Lanka's largest produce market, which is quite the sight with all the vendors and activity. Grab lunch somewhere nearby, then return for a relaxed afternoon by the pool. Once the sun starts setting, there's a special local activity lined up that evening.

Kandy
Today you drive from Dambulla toward the hill country, heading to Kandy at a leisurely pace. In the evening, you'll visit the Temple of the Tooth, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and catch the evening ceremony with its rituals and processions. After that, dinner and drinks at a spot overlooking the lake rounds out your night nicely.

Kandy to Ella
The drive takes you through mountains covered in tea plantations and past waterfalls tumbling down the hillside. You'll stop at Ramboda Falls for a quick stretch and photos. Next comes a visit to a colonial tea plantation where locals teach you how tea gets picked, processed, and brewed the proper way. Then the real highlight: boarding one of the world's most scenic train journeys to Ella, with mountains and valleys rolling past your window. Once you arrive and settle in, head into town for the evening.

Ella
The morning is entirely yours in Ella, so sleep in, grab brunch, or just take your time. Around late morning, hike up to Little Adam's Peak for a 360-degree view of Ella Gap and the surrounding area. On the way back down or after, check out the 9 Arches Bridge, that famous spot everyone photographs. Your afternoon is free to wander around town, shop at local stalls, or arrange something optional like an Ayurvedic massage if that appeals to you.

Ella to Udawalawe
Start before sunrise to tackle Ella Rock, a more rugged and demanding hike than Little Adam's Peak. The trail's more natural and less crowded, and once you reach the top and make your way back down, you're heading south toward Udawalawe. You'll be staying in glamping-style bungalows right within the national park, so settling in means you're surrounded by nature.

Udawalawe, Hiriketiya & Mirissa
An open-air jeep takes you through Udawalawe National Park where you'll search for elephants, crocodiles, monkeys, buffalo, and if you're lucky, leopards. The safari lasts several hours, and then you head to Hiriketiya Beach on the coast for a laid-back afternoon in the sand and ocean breeze. Tonight you'll try one of the best Rice 'N' Curry meals Sri Lanka has to offer at a local spot.

Landmarks/POIs Udawalawe National Park Hiriketiya Beach - Day 9
Weligama, Mirissa & Madiha
The day begins with surf-ready yoga right by the ocean where you can watch the waves while stretching. After that, your instructors teach you to surf on the South Coast, which works for complete beginners right through to experienced surfers. The afternoon opens up for shopping, relaxing, or exploring on your own. Later on, 'The Doctors House' throws a legendary party where you can try mango daiquiris and hang out with fellow travelers.

Landmarks/POIs Weligama Beach Mirissa Beach - Days 10 - 11
Unawatuna, Dalawella Beach & Galle
Start by visiting Coconut Tree Hill, then work your way down the coast toward Unawatuna via Ahangama. At sunset, head to Dalawella Beach where you might spot giant sea turtles in the shallow water. After sunset, there's that famous Instagram swing for a photo. Next up is Galle Fort, where you can wander the Dutch Fortress streets, grab souvenirs, and maybe join locals in a casual cricket match. Round out your final night together with dinner and drinks celebrating the whole trip.

Checkout & Departure
This is checkout day and your last morning together. Over breakfast, you'll reminisce about everything you've done and experienced over the past 12 days. After breakfast winds down, you'll head to Bandaranaike International Airport for your flight home or to wherever's next. Aim to leave around lunchtime at the earliest so you're not rushed, but there's no set schedule, so you can head to the airport whenever works best for you.
