Asked on June 14th, 2025My friend and I would love to do this trip, but want to go straight from the last destination to Lake Como instead of ending in Zurich. Specifically, I was hoping we could leave the tour Day 9 from Lucerne instead of traveling back to Zurich.

Will there be assigned seats - Bernina Express single seat first class? And if not, are upgrade options available? Are hotels all 3 star hotels? On other your options like the boat cruise on Day 5, can this be booked in advance? And how much? Will daily ride transfers be included?

Luggage will be stored under the motorcoach and transported to each hotel. The tips are not included in the total payment. The train rides are in Standard Class and they are not able to be upgraded. Upon boarding the train, the tour director will provide your train ticket with your assigned seat. The hotels are rated by class and we use a mix of tourist class, superior tourist-class, and first-class hotels. Optional excursions can be booked at 90 days prior till departure. Pricing will be available at that time as well as it is subject to change. Transportation will be provided to and from the hotel to what is included in the itinerary and any optional excursion you may purchase.

The check in times are in the afternoon (usually around 3 PM local time). The tour ends after breakfast, you can arrange your transfers between the hours of 6 AM and 3 PM local time.

We cannot guarantee that the hotels will offer vegetarian, gluten free or soy free meals. We can document on your booking that you are requesting these meals, it will be up to you to speak with the hotel and restaurant staff to confirm if these meals are being offered. You will receive a more detailed itinerary once you arrive o the tour with your daily start times. On days that you will be traveling via motor coach, you will travel between 70 - 200 miles per day. This tour can accommodate up to 45 guest. You may be responsible for getting your suitcase to and from the motor coach.
