Itinerary
- Day 1
Cairo
You'll arrive at Cairo airport where someone from Ancient Egypt Tours will meet you and take you to your hotel. Check-in happens around 14:00 or 15:00 depending on what the hotel allows. If your flight gets in early, you can relax at the property or add an extra night if you want. Later in the evening, there are optional activities like a 2-hour Nile dinner cruise with a belly dancer and local band, or a Sound and Light show if it's available that night.

- Day 2
Cairo
After breakfast at your hotel, you'll meet your personal guide for a full day on the Giza Plateau. You'll walk through the Great Pyramid of Khufu, see the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaura along with their smaller companion pyramids, and check out the Great Sphinx and Valley Temple. There's a photo stop where you can capture all three pyramids with Cairo's skyline. Then you'll have lunch at a local restaurant before heading to the Egyptian Museum to see over 250,000 artifacts including King Tutankhamun's golden treasures. By late afternoon you'll transfer to the train station for your overnight Sleeper train to Aswan with dinner on board.

- Day 3
Aswan
You'll have breakfast on the train as it pulls into Aswan. Your representative will meet you and take you to your hotel. After lunch, you'll visit some of Egypt's most impressive engineering and ancient sites including the High Dam built between 1960 and 1970. Next you'll see the Unfinished Obelisk, the largest known ancient obelisk that would have reached about 42 meters if it had been completed. Later you'll sail by felucca (a traditional Egyptian sailboat) to Philae Temple on Agilkia Island to visit the Temple of Isis and explore monuments from the 26th dynasty through the Roman period before returning to your hotel.

- Day 4
Luxor
Start with breakfast at your hotel, then head to the train station for your journey to Luxor. Once you arrive and meet your guide, you'll explore the East Bank visiting the Karnak Temple complex that covers 247 acres with three main temples and multiple smaller structures. From there you'll cross to the West Bank to see the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, built on three terraced levels. After lunch, you'll go to the Valley of the Kings to visit 3 of the approximately 60 royal tombs from 1539-1075 BC, including Tutankhamun's tomb discovered in 1922. You'll finish your day at the Colossi of Memnon, two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III that have stood guard for 3,400 years.

Luxor to Sharm El Sheikh
You'll have breakfast at your hotel and then transfer to Luxor airport for your domestic flight to Sharm El Sheikh. When you arrive, you'll check into your resort and have the rest of the day free to relax. Your resort provides breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day. There are optional activities available if you want to book something, but you can also just unwind.

Sharm El Sheikh to Cairo
After breakfast at your resort, you'll transfer to Sharm El Sheikh airport for your domestic flight back to Cairo. When you land, someone from the tour company will meet you and take you to your hotel in Cairo. You'll have the rest of the day to explore Cairo on your own time. Optional activities are available if you want to book them, otherwise it's up to you what you do.
