The tour was well organized from the moment I landed in Cairo to my departure date. I felt safe as a solo traveler to Egypt and joining a tour group of 10 other travelers. Our guides were caring and patient. They shared their knowledge of Egyptian culture, history, and heritage with passion and pride. The only downside were the very early morning start on days 2 - 4.

Our Egypt holiday was unforgettable and every day was another WOW moment. Ashraf our guide was with us throughout the whole tour and always made us feel safe and so well informed. He is passionate about Egypt and we honestly all felt like part of his family throughout the tour. So many laughs and memories. I also need to give a shout out to the chef on our Nile River Cruise ship Regency. Being a coeliac in Egypt I was extremely uncertain about the food but special meals were created for me plus most of the food on the buffet was gluten free and so many desserts and I was walked around the buffet every sitting to identify Gluten Free. We absolutely loved all of the tour and a huge thankyou again to Ashraf.

This tour was absolutely fabulous- well organised and co-ordinated. Tour guide Saladino was knowledgeable and very helpful and attentive. The excursions were suburb- mind blowing destinations- Karnak and Luxor temples, Valley of the Kings, temples at Edfu and Kom Ombo and very interesting museum of mummified crocodiles, Abu Simbel, Philae temple and Aswan dam. Incredibly well preserved Ancient Egyptian wall art, hieroglyphics and artefacts. Our ship, Sonesta Moon Goddess was beautiful, the food was excellent and all staff provided great service. The scenery was spectacular whilst we were sailing down the Nile and the on board swimming pool was a lovely bonus, as was the provision of balconies with each cabin.

The cruise and tour were wonderful. It was 9 days packed very full with so much Egyptian history and culture. At the end you were left wanting more and knowing you want to come back for more. The cruise ship was very well equipped, and the staff were friendly and accommodating in every way. There was also entertainment on the ship What made the tour truly outstanding were our 2 tour guides; Abdoul in Cairo and Ashfaf for the cruise. These 2 men were so knowledgeable in their field of Egyptology. Abdoul is an active Archeological himself and one of the places he took us to, Saqqara, has been one of the digs he has worked on. He took us to many tombs and temples and explained the significance of each. The Museum of Civilization with all the mummys was especially good but the highlight was the GEM, newly opened, to see King Tut's treasures. Our 2nd guide was Ashraf, who was totally amazing! He was so knowledgeable about the sites we went to. He always had a smile ans warm greetings for his 'habibi' group. He helped us navigate everyhing and we were sad to say goodbye to him. If you take this tour, you could not ask for better guides than Ashraf and Abdoul; i know you'll love them as much as we did.

The scheduled tours were very good, the optional tours were very good too. The only area where the company is lack of is communications, they started a WhatsApp group chat for our group as to post our flight schedules, itineraries, etc. However, they never posted any finalized itineraries and our flights were only posted the night before we fly out. Tour departure times were verbally given to us the evening before and it was a very early morning departures. Our group were stressed out from the last minute announcement and some people even skipped their dinner because dinner starts at 8pm, departure time was 3:30am. We had posted on the WhatsApp asking for the flight times but the admins didn’t respond back until the night before after we kept asking the tour guide. For the return flight back to Cairo was even worst as some of us had different departure times & dates. It was very important that our flight were to schedule to arrive early enough from Aswen to Cairo so we can take our international departure flight in Cairo at 1am, we had to kept asking the tour guide for help because the admins were none responsive. At the end, they did come through with the flight schedule, again just one day before departure.

What time will we return to the Cairo airport on Day 7? Our flight is late night/early morning that day so we will just stay at the airport. Also if we don't need the last night hotel in Cairo can that be credited?

    • Beyond The Nile ToursOperatorWritten September 2025

You will return to Cairo from Aswan on Day 7 approximately between 18:00 & 23:00. Unfortunately, this package tour is for a small group tour, check-in, check-out and domestic flights are all together at the time of departure. So, if you will not take the last night we can't refund its cost but we can offer you a 10% discount on the optional tours.
