Kilimanjaro Airport to Moshi
Your flight arrives at Kilimanjaro Airport where a tour representative meets you and drives you to your hotel in Moshi. After settling in, you'll have the rest of the day to rest and prepare mentally for the trek that begins tomorrow.

Moshi to Machame Camp
Following breakfast, you're transported to Machame Gate on Kilimanjaro's southern slope. From there, the trek begins as you walk through the forested slopes, gradually climbing toward your first camp. By evening, you'll reach Machame Camp at 3,000 metres (9,843 feet) where dinner waits before you settle in for the night.

Machame Camp to Shira One Camp
After eating at camp, you'll trek through ridges and valleys moving eastward into the Shira region. Packed lunches keep you fueled during the hike across varied terrain. Later in the day, you arrive at Shira One Camp at 3,800 metres (12,467 feet) for dinner and overnight.

Landmarks Shira One Camp - Day 4
Shira One Camp to Barranco Camp
Breakfast at Shira One precedes your eastward trek toward Lava Tower Campsite at 4,500 metres (14,764 feet). You'll spend time there, then intentionally descend to Barranco Camp at a lower altitude to help your body acclimatize. This descent helps with altitude adjustment before the final push.

Barranco Camp to Barafu Camp
Early breakfast fuels you for the challenging Barranco wall hike, a steep rocky section that requires focus and careful footing. After crossing it, you continue through Karanga Valley and climb to Karanga Campsite for lunch. The afternoon brings more climbing to Barafu Camp at 4,600 metres (15,092 feet), where you'll eat, rest, and prepare for the summit attempt starting tonight.

Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp
Around midnight, you begin your push toward Uhuru Peak with hot coffee or tea in hand. The night climb carries you through thin air toward Africa's highest point at 5,895 metres (19,341 feet), which you'll reach around 6:00 AM for photos and celebration. From there, you descend back to Barafu for breakfast and a rest, then continue down to Mweka Camp for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, the final descent takes you through the forest toward the park gate. During the walk down, you'll have packed lunches to maintain your energy. At the gate, you'll say goodbye to your guides and porters, then transfer to Dual Mountain Lodge in Moshi for lunch and your final night.

Moshi to Kilimanjaro Airport
Breakfast at Dual Mountain Lodge starts your final morning before a representative picks you up for the drive to Kilimanjaro Airport. You'll arrive in time for your international flight and departure.
