- FWFlorian· October 31st, 2025and it was absolutely fantastic! Everything was so well organized — from the airport pickup to the lodges along the trek and the return transfer at the end. Our guide Indra and assistant guide Sandip were amazing — always professional, caring, and fun to be around. A big thank you also to our wonderful porters Gukul, Binod and Rajan who were incredibly kind and helpful throughout the journey. We had an unforgettable time and felt taken care of every step of the way. Highly recommended — we’d love to come back one day!Show moreTrip date: October 2025
 - RRebecca· October 29th, 2025What an incredible experience with Nepal Hiking Team! My boyfriend and I just completed the Classic Annapurna Circuit trek and we had an absolutely amazing time. Our group of five were very well taken care of by a team of five: lead guide Bhisma, assistant guide Rajesh and porters Raj, Ellis and Sanjay. While everyone in the team was professional, kind, friendly, always ready to help and always in good spirits, Bhisma in particular stood out and made our trek truly memorable. He was a wealth of knowledge, which he was happy to share. Furthermore, he has an excellent command of the English language, much more so than expected, which made chatting with him easy and enjoyable. Throughout the trek, we could feel his genuine warmth and care for each of us and dedication to ensuring that we had a great time. But beyond being good at his job, he was a pleasure to be around. The guesthouses we stayed at, for the most part, were better equipped than we expected. We always had en-suite bathrooms, although not always with hot showers or even showers or even sinks. But at least, even on the coldest night at the highest elevation (Thorong Base Camp), we didn’t have to venture outside for a toilet. That was also the only night without any shower, which is to be expected. Otherwise we had access to solar or gas showers at each guesthouse, a very pleasant surprise. The food throughout the trek was also much better than expected - we were happily surprised that we could order a la carte for each meal and it was easy to add on extras to our own bill when desired. We were truly impressed by the fresh fruit plates they prepared for us each evening after dinner. They carried quite a number of watermelons and pomegranates and apples with them from the lowlands and we saw many other trekkers eyeing our fruit plates with envy each night! Tip: bring loose tea/tea bags with you so that you can just order a large thermos of hot water each evening to make your own tea. The trek was well paced and the guides adapted to our individual needs and speeds. Bhisma was very flexible with adjusting meal and additional excursion timings based on our preferences. We also changed our itinerary a bit during the last few days, based on his suggestions, which made much more sense for us as we weren’t too keen to walk very long stretches on the main road. Communication and overall organization of our trip has been great. From the first emails with owner Ganga to enquire about the trip to the final drop off at the airport, it’s been a smooth and seamless experience. Overall we feel that it’s been great value for money for the level of service we’ve gotten. We wound up extending this 18 day trip into a 22 day trip by adding two extra nights each in Kathmandu and Pokhara, along with a flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu, all of which he arranged and booked for us. We can tell he’s clearly very busy juggling a lot of different trips going out each day but still takes the time to meet with his clients in person before and after the trip. We will happily and wholeheartedly recommend Nepal Hiking Team to our friends and colleagues and would definitely return to Nepal to trek with this company again!Show moreTrip date: October 2025

Asked on March 27th, 2025I'm planning a trip to EBC nut I wanted to ask about tipping the guide and porter. Do people usually tip "individually" or if there are several people in a group trek - do they give the tip as a group? How much is appropriate for a 15 day trek?
Nepal Hiking TeamOperator•Written March 2025For your group trek, the total tipping amount for both guides and porters would be approximately USD 300-400 for the group. You will have 1 guide for the group, and for porters, there will be 1 porter for every two trekkers. Each porter would typically be tipped USD 150. The tip can be given as a group tip, and you can distribute it equally among the group members.

Asked on July 28th, 2022May I please ask what to expect in terms of day time and night time temperatures for this group tour in mid to late October? What is the recommended packing list? Are some items available for hire?
Nepal Hiking TeamOperator•Written July 2022The temperature goes as high as 20 deg C during the daytime and negative 5-6 deg C low at night during the trek at the highest elevation of the trek i.e. Thorong Phedi or High Camp. So please prepare the clothes accordingly. As for packing the gear, we provide a down jacket, sleeping bag, and a duffle bag for the trek. You can buy or hire the rest of the gear in Kathmandu.

Traveler•Written July 2022May I ask if a single supplement is available for the hotel part of the trip? Regarding the night time temperatures, are the mountain huts heated? Would someone from your company help me with gear hire in Kathmadu? I haven't hiked in conditions with such a large variation in temperature so I am very unsure as to what the appropriate gear would be! Is there another time of year you recommend when the temperatures are warmer and the views clear?

Nepal Hiking TeamOperator•Written July 2022It is possible to add the single supplementary, which costs USD 200 for the trip to Kathmandu/Pokhara and Mountain. So you will get a single room. Of course, we assist you in hiring the gears in Kathmandu. Our guide will assist you in finding the right place. The best time for trekking in Nepal is anytime between Mid-March to May and Mid-Sept -Nov. So you can choose any dates during the timeframe. Unfortunately, mountain huts are not heated. However, there is wooden heating in the restaurant/dining hall.
