- EIElla· April 23rd, 2025My group was absolutely amazing – such kind and welcoming people who made you feel instantly at ease. A huge part of that atmosphere was thanks to our incredible group leader, Jamie, whose humour and care brought so much warmth to every day, and Laura, who was doing her training and fit in so naturally. With Jamie and Laura around, you were never bored – his energy kept things light, fun, and effortlessly enjoyable. But it wasn’t just the people who made the trip so special – the activities and the places we explored created memories I’ll carry forever. Highlights for me were visiting the elephants and snorkeling and diving around Phi Phi – genuinely unforgettable moments. The nights we went out for drinks were always fun and full of good vibes, but it wasn’t over the top, which made the whole experience feel so much more relaxed and balanced. It wasn’t just a party trip – and that mix was exactly what we were after. The blend of adventure and downtime was perfect. If I could’ve changed one thing, I’d have added just one more day in Pai. That peaceful, beautiful place had such a calm energy – I could’ve spent hours more at the sunset viewpoint, playing cards and soaking it all in. All in all, what an experience. I never once felt pressured or stressed – just completely free to enjoy every moment. Honestly, the best holiday I’ve ever had. Who knew solo travelling could be this much fun?Show moreTrip date: March 2025
- RDRaffi· April 22nd, 2025As I was organising my gap year plans, I was getting tired of the stress that usually comes with booking trips, especially as an 18 year old with very little solo travel experience. I came across Feel Free online and was honestly pretty amazed at the price, activities and benefits included in the trip, so I didn’t waste much time making my reservation. Upon arrival, any worries that I had about the group or trip organisation quickly went away. Everyone in the group very friendly and group leaders Jamie and Laura were extremely helpful, well organised and just friendly, they made the whole experience feel more like a trip amongst friends than a planned excursion. The trip was jam packed with beautiful scenery and fun activities (Khao Sok was a favourite of mine), but I also appreciated that we were not forced to participate in absolutely everything when we were sick, tired or just not feeling it. It really made the group atmosphere very chill and open. I loved Thailand and for a first “solo” travel, all my expectations were met and exceeded. Whether you are on a gap year or simply looking for a new adventure, I cannot recommend this trip enough, I loved it!Show moreTrip date: March 2025
- SBScott· April 22nd, 2025The trip from start to finish was absolutely amazing, well organised and well executed. Jamie our guide was so good couldn’t ask for anyone better from making sure we were all ok, to enjoying ourselves to helping us with our onwards travel plans. So much fun highly recommendShow moreTrip date: March 2025
- DPDanielle· April 22nd, 2025Jamie was the best leader! He made all of us feel very comfortable and safe from the very beginning of the trip which was great when Bangkok was hit with that earthquake as he calmed all of us down. He was well prepared (thanks to those behind the scenes for organising it all) and kept up the entertainment with his jokes and his fun personality. I know the other tour leaders are probably just as great as Jamie but I hope he will be my leader for my next trip with FeelFree. Our tour was jam packed with activities suited for all types of people. We were never bored and had a ball with the various activities planned.Show moreTrip date: March 2025
- DDrew· April 22nd, 2025The best of Thailand tour - 15 days, is an incredible way to experience some of the highlights this amazing country has to offer. Feel Free Travel are an excellent company that set you up for stress free time away, the group sizes are perfect as they allow you to get to know everyone, feel apart of a family and make lifelong friends. Jamie, our group leader, couldn’t have been much better, he offered support before the tour started and with onward travel too. He was always happy to answer any questions we had, help us feel comfortable and made sure there were never any issues. My first birthday away from home was also made unforgettable with the effort he put in to bring a custom cake over to Khao Sok National Park, which I appreciated greatly. It was just a shame he was the 2nd best Scotsman in the group.. :) The local guides Jib, P’Samut and Tookta were all fantastic, their personalities, while all so different, made each place even more special. Their enthusiasm to share their local area with us was infectious. I would definitely recommend Feel Free Travel if you are thinking about booking a group tour!Show moreTrip date: March 2025
- EEmily· April 22nd, 2025Absolutely incredible 15-day tour in Thailand. Everything perfectly organised- the trip made even more incredible by the most amazing tour guide Jamie who I could not recommend enough, being not only a guide, but friend along the way (and always full of so much energy!) Ranging from beautiful beach days, temples, ethical elephant village (Ran by the legend Mr.Ken) floating bungalows, wonderful foods & so so much more-a truly unforgettable experience I would recommend to anyone.Show moreTrip date: March 2025

What our customers ask about this tour

Asked on April 26th, 2025How is accommodation exactly? Will I always share a hotel room with another person from the same gender? Or will there also be dorms with more than 2 persons in each room? Is there a possibility for private rooms (with extra charge of course)?
- Feel Free TravelOperator•Written April 2025
We stay in guesthouse/hotel accommodation with 2 people per room. Most places have swimming pools, and if you'd prefer your own space, you can upgrade to a private room for an extra £600 on top of the tour price.
- G
Gillian
Traveler•Written April 2025So I have to pay in advance in order for me to have all private rooms? Not possible to pay there for a specific stay only? And also I wanted to ask about the luggage, what luggage size is recommended to bring to this kind of trip? I mean what do most people have with them, a big suitcase or just backpack?
- Feel Free TravelOperator•Written April 2025
For the private room upgrade you'll need to book it for the full trip, we don't have the option to offer it in chunks. When it comes to luggage you'll find some will bring a big suitcase and others a backpack... it very much boils down to personal preference but we just limit the big bag to 20kg and the small carryon to 7kg as there is an internal flight on this trip.
- G
Gillian
Traveler•Written April 2025And the internal flights are included in the package price? And one more thing I was wondering about: are most of the travelers in this trip from the UK? Or is it varied? According to statistics I mean
- Feel Free TravelOperator•Written April 2025
The internal flight from the South to Chiang Mai is included on Day 10 of the trip. With our company being from the UK we do see about 40-50% of our customers from the UK but I can see on the 3rd May trip that there are travellers from the UK, USA and Europe. Most are booked to travel solo also.
- G
Gillian
Traveler•Written April 2025And regarding gender balance, is it usually almost 50/50 in this regard? Just want to have an idea what to expect as a guy myself
- Feel Free TravelOperator•Written April 2025
Group trips do tend to be a little more popular with female travellers - I'd say it's usually around a 70/30 split. That said, on this trip there are definitely a few guys booked on already, and the vibe is always really sociable and easy-going, so you'll be in good company!

Asked on April 5th, 2025Keen for 6 adult. Thailand. Mid November'ish. Approx 12 days. A good cultural. Immersion look around plus a few beach days. Travelling return from NZ.
- Feel Free TravelOperator•Written April 2025
We offer two trip options in Thailand: - 9-Day Bangkok & The South - 15-Day Best of Thailand. We have departures starting on either the 15th or 17th November, and the itinerary is already set. We aim to find the perfect balance between culture, adventure and chill time, with plenty of activities included.

Asked on March 16th, 2025We'd love to book this tour but we have checked the flights and the best option would be with an arrival at 16:00 at BKK on the 15th. We wanted to check whether this is way too late or would that work with a transfer etc before dinner and drinks?
- Feel Free TravelOperator•Written March 2025
Arriving at 16:00pm on Day 1 isn't a problem and we will still arrange an airport pick up for you at this time to take you straight to the hotel. It may be that once you arrive you wont have long until the group is ready to head out for dinner & drinks, however if you wanted a little extra time to freshen up then you could always meet up with them a little later.
- D
Dale
Traveler•Written March 2025Could I just check please if the attached screenshot means we could book the same accommodation for the night before? I.e. we would arrive on the 14th Nov rather than 15th. If so, are there any restrictions? E.g. would we still be picked up from the airport?
- Feel Free TravelOperator•Written March 2025
We offer pre-tour accommodation which is £35 per person per night and this includes your early airport pick up on arrival and this is also in the same hotel where we start the trip. So if you were both to arrive on the 14th Nov then you would need to add 2 nights which would cover you both for the 14th.

Asked on March 16th, 2025Are most tours for the range of 18 to 39 years old? We are 52 and 49 out of range?
- Feel Free TravelOperator•Written March 2025
As much as we would love you to join us, we must remain faithful to our target audience and existing customer base. These customers are young students and gap year backpackers eager to join others on their first-ever solo adventure. It would be unfair for us to accept bookings from travellers outside of the 18-39 age range that we set for our groups. I would suggest looking at companies like G Adventures, One Life Adventures, or Intro Travel. I know they have a much more flexible demographic than we do, and they offer very similar group trips.
- R
Renee
Asked on January 26th, 2025Do I still get an airport transfer if I arrive a day early?
- Feel Free TravelOperator•Written January 2025
When it comes to airport pickups, we include this within the package on Day 1. If you were to book pre-tour accommodation with us directly you'd get an airport pickup included within the price of the pre-night accommodation.

Asked on December 25th, 2024Mixed group trip for 3 people: 2 travelers aged 60+ (male/female), 1 traveler aged 30 (female). Looking for trip to Bangkok, Phuket, Pattaya with two beautiful islands. Want 5-star accommodation, two rooms, internal travel by SUV or flight. Relaxed timing trip with food, sightseeing, shopping, and beach relaxation.
- Feel Free TravelOperator•Written December 2024
We focus on young students and gap year backpackers aged 18-39. This trip is not suitable for travelers outside our age range. Recommend checking G Adventures, One Life Adventures, or Intro Travel for more flexible group trips.

Asked on December 12th, 2024How do I book internal flights?

Asked on December 4th, 2024I want to know if I will be picked up by the free travel team in BKK
- Feel Free TravelOperator•Written December 2024
We will have an airport pick up waiting for you on arrival and we will take you straight to the hotel. Check in time is from 2pm, but you can drop your bags off and go for a little wander until your room is ready

Asked on November 18th, 2024do you know which documents I need if I'm a USA permanent resident, but my passport is mexican?
- Feel Free TravelOperator•Written November 2024
When it comes to travel documents, we sadly can't advise. You will no doubt be subject to the rules based on your passport and not your resident status... it appears in this case you'll need to check the rules for travelling Thailand as a Mexican.
