Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Cairo
You'll arrive in Cairo and connect with your tour guide who'll handle your transfer to the hotel. Settle in for the first of your four nights here before moving on to the Nile later in the week.
- Day 2
Sakkara, Pyramids & Sphinx
Start early at the necropolis in Sakkara to see the step pyramid, one of the oldest structures of its kind. After grabbing lunch on your own, head to the Great Pyramids for a camel ride and view the Great Sphinx. You'll be back at the hotel by evening.

Cairo to Luxor
Fly from Cairo down to Luxor, then get transferred to your cruise boat waiting at the dock. You'll settle into your floating hotel for the night as your Nile River cruise officially begins.

West Bank Sightseeing
Cross over to the West Bank early in the day to tour the Valley of the Kings. From there, you'll visit the Temple of Hatshepsut and see the Colossi of Memnon. Meals are provided, and you'll spend the night in Esna.

Aswan
Start before dawn at the Temple of Horus in Edfu, then sail upstream to Kom Ombo for a late afternoon visit to the Ptolemic Temple. Later the boat continues on to Aswan, where you'll stay for two nights.

Aswan Sightseeing & Felucca Cruise
Tour the High Dam in the morning, then check out the Old Granite Quarries and the Unfinished Obelisk. This afternoon you'll take a traditional felucca sailing boat around Kitchener Island (included), and return in time for dinner.

Aswan Leisure & Optional Activities
The morning is yours to wander Aswan however you like. If you want more structure, optional trips head to Abu Simbel by coach or air to see the colossal statues of Ramses II, or you can do bird-watching and visit a Nubian house in the afternoon instead.

Nile Sailing to Esna
Relax on the boat as it sails downstream toward Esna. Swim in the pool, read, or just take in the views along the river. You'll arrive late in the evening and stay onboard overnight.

Esna to Luxor
Sail from Esna to Luxor, pulling in around lunchtime. In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Karnak and the Temple of Luxor. Later there's an optional Sound and Light Show at Karnak Temple if you want to go in the evening.

Luxor to Cairo
Get transported to Luxor airport for the flight back to Cairo. Once there, visit the Citadel and Mosque of Muhammad Ali, followed by the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities to see King Tutankhamen's treasures. Grab lunch on your own, then check in for your two-night stay.

Cairo Sightseeing
Explore the Mosque and Madrasa of Sultan Hassan, built in 1356 and one of the finest early Mamluk examples. Walk through the Old City from the Bab el-Foutouh gate over to Khan el-Khalili Bazaar, which has stalls dating back centuries. End the day in Coptic Cairo before heading back to your hotel.
