The list of what to bring could be amended to include information about taking an extra bag for food and 'smelly' toiletries to be placed in the van in the campgrounds to safeguard against attracting bears. The tour notes could include a simplified map to show the campgrounds and positions of walks.

    Asked on January 9th, 2024

How does the camping works, I mean do we have to carry during the hikings the gear? All camping equipment is provided by Tour radar? Is there some kind of sleeping pad provided also? What about bears? (in terms of security) we went last year to Glacier park, and its quite "disturbing" the sensation of being near them.. We will love to do it in september, is there any chance at least for 2 pax?

Unfortunately there's no availability in September. There is trips starting on June 22nd, July 13th or July 27th. We do provide sleeping mats for you however there is certain equipment you'll need to bring yourself or hire via us at Explore Worldwide. Regarding safety, our guides are very familiar with the area and support many tours going through the area so are trained to keep our guests safe throughout their trip.

    Asked on January 1st, 2022

Is this a backpack trip? For day hike would we be using Daypack? I live in California. How does my camping equipment (including tent, sleeping pad, sleeping bag, bear canister (if required), food, personal clothing, toiletries, etc.) get transferred to next campsite? On the last day at what time does the trip would end? How long will it take to get to the Airport?

    Tour Details
    Transport
    • Explore!OperatorWritten January 2022

This isn't a backpacking trip. For luggage we recommend that you bring one main piece of luggage and a 20-30 litre day sack is recommended. You will need to carry what you need for the day which may include a raincoat, jumper, camera, sun-cream, water and picnic lunch. On hot days you will carry fewer clothes but more drinking water. Your main luggage and camping equipment will be transported in the minibus. On the last day we drive to Calgary, where our trip ends. We will arrive at the Ramada Hotel in Calgary at around 10am from here you will be transferred to the airport according to your flight departure time. If you would like to receive a complimentary airport transfer today, you need to depart from Calgary International Airport (YYC). The earliest your flight can depart is 1pm. If your flight is departing later in the day, luggage storage facilities are available at the Ramada Hotel and you will have an opportunity to explore a little of the city on foot before travelling to the airport. It takes around an hour to get from Canmore to Calgary.
