Itinerary
- Day 1
Tallinn
You'll arrive in Tallinn whenever works best for you. If your flight gets in early, head into the Old Town and wander the cobbled streets on your own. The tour leader meets you at the hotel at 7pm for a welcome meeting, and there's optional dinner after if you want to join.

Tallinn to Lahemaa National Park
After a guided walk through Tallinn's Old Town checking out the colorful houses and town square, you'll drive east to Lahemaa National Park. The Beaver Trail walk takes you through forests and the Altja River Valley where you might spot beaver dams and wildlife. You'll finish in the fishing village of Altja (400 years old) and stay overnight in a converted distillery. Bog walking is available July onwards but not April-June due to nesting season.

Lahemaa National Park to Cesis
You'll cross into Latvia and drive about 4 hours to Cesis, with a possible stop in Viljandi along the way. Then explore medieval Cesis and its 13th-century castle. In the afternoon, walk through forested trails down to the Gauja River and Eagle's Cliff, which has views over Gauja National Park.

Cesis to Riga
Head to Sigulda for a forest walk through Gauja National Park. You'll pass medieval Livonian fortress ruins and a neo-gothic castle before reaching 13th-century Turaida Castle. There's also a cable car ride through the forest canopy. Later, drive to Riga for a walking tour of the Old Town, seeing the Freedom Monument, Gunpowder Tower, Saint Jacob's Church, and the cathedral.

Riga to Nida
Drive west to Kemeri National Park and walk along a raised boardwalk over wetlands where you'll see mosses, bog pine trees, and small pools. Then head to the seaside spa resort of Jurmala for lunch. After that, you'll drive south across the Lithuania border (about 6 hours) to Klaipeda, take a ferry to Nida on the Curonian Spit, and settle in for two nights.

Nida
Spend the day exploring the Curonian Spit National Park on an 11-kilometer walk through sand dunes up to 60 meters high, pine forests, and old Curonian houses. This UNESCO World Heritage Site has dramatic coastline and the terrain really varies as you move through it.

Nida to Vilnius
You've got about 6 hours driving ahead to Trakai, the former Grand Duchy home. Walk around this scenic lake town and see the famous 15th-century island castle. Then continue to Vilnius for a walking tour of the UNESCO Old Town, passing the ancient university, cathedral, and St. Anne's Church.

Vilnius Departure
Your tour ends at the Vilnius hotel. You're free to leave whenever you want, and the hotel can store luggage if your flight leaves later in the day.
