He was so much fun and the whole group seemed to have such an amazing experience in Norway that they wanted to come back and do another trip! Itinerary was well thought out, had enough or little enough for people to opt to do. The accomodation was fantastic with lovely staff. Asked on July 13th, 2025Do we need to bring hiking poles? More generally, what hiking equipment and clothing is our responsibility?
G AdventuresOperator•Written July 2025Hiking poles are not provided you will need to bring your own. Trekking packing: Gloves, Hat, Hiking boots/sturdy walking shoes, Hiking pants (Convertible/Zip-off and quick dry recommended), Snacks (Protein bars, chocolate, dried fruits, candies, energy sweets), Socks (Trekking socks — woollen or synthetic, not cotton), Thermal base layer (Woollen or synthetic, not cotton), Walking poles (Highly recommended). When packing your gear, the best clothing for trekking is either wool or synthetic materials, as this is quick-drying and can keep heat in better. The optimum clothing for trekking is layering, as it allows for easy temperature regulation as you ascend or descend. We suggest a base-layer, then a mid-layer such as a sweater, followed by a fleece jacket or similar, then a windproof and waterproof jacket. For your bottom half, thermal underwear, hiking pants then windproof and waterproof layers are recommended.

It is too last minute for us to now confirm a trip for three days time. Once we are a few weeks from departure our trips go 'on request'. We have a certain number of rooms and services that are allocated toward every single departure for the groups we book. When we are within our late request period, it means we have released the spaces we are holding for the group back to our suppliers, because we didn't fill the space as anticipated to avoid a penalty. This allows the hotels/services to sell the space to other operators/agents/individuals as requested. It then means that to confirm your space it can take 3-5 working days.

We give all of our tours a physical rating on a scale of 1-5. This trip is a 4/5 which we classify as Demanding - Some high-altitude hikes or more strenuous activities, but accessible to most healthy travellers. For the hikes themselves, they breakdown as follows: Day 3 in Odda: 7-9hrs, 10-12km roundtrip. Day 4 in Odda/Folgefonna Glacier: 5-6hrs, 6km roundtrip. Day 6 Trolltunga Hike & Via Ferrata Climb: The most intense trek of the day with rock climbing and a very steep gradient the entire time will take roughly 10-12hrs with 24-28km roundtrip.

The maximum group size for this trip is 15 passengers. Our tours are based on twin share rooming. Since you have an odd number of travellers in your party, you can either share with another solo traveler of the same gender on the tour free of charge or if you would prefer to add a single supplement, we can do so for an additional £589. Optional activities can be found listed below: - Kayak on Lake Sandvin (1045NOK per person) - Rib Boat Fjordcruise (1050NOK per person) - Trolltunga Via Ferrata Sunset/Sunrise Combo Upgrade (£276 would need to be pre booked). For meals not included your tour guide will always recommend places to eat and will often book a table so the whole group can eat together should they wish to.
