The tour was the best decision, the experience I had on the trip is amazing. I made great friendships. The tourguides Tiger, Lao, Bao and Seavty all showed us their homecountry and how beautiful and still different they are. The guides are the nicest people and as a group we totally grew close with the guides and it makes saying goodbye really hard. The tour was amazing organised and the activities we did are unforgettable. I‘m so grateful I chose dragon trip for this experience and would recommend it to anyone who is down to have a unforgettable experience in south east asia. I‘m so sad the trip is over but I will for sure come back to south east asia.

I had the most amazing time on this trip. I would have never seen half of the things I have seen if I wasn't on this trip. I have met friends for life on this trip, including tour guides. Our guides Tiger, Lao, Bao and Tii were so helpful and friendly to us. It felt like they were our friends that were on the trip with us. They were always involved with us and we formed such good relationships with them. I will miss them all a lot and hope to stay in contact with them. I would 100% recommend this trip for anyone of any age.

It was an amasing tour with lots of fun, nice people, good food and nice activities. Everything was good organised, daily trips started in time. All group leaders were very friendly, helpful and could give us enough information about the activities.

Really well planned so you don’t have to stress about travel and most food is included! Great locations and fun/interesting activities that you wouldn’t know to organise yourself so it’s amazing that we tried unique things as well as the main tourist attractions.

Excellent tour, I liked the itinerary, the places are beautiful, the guides are very friendly and try to explain how local life works in the best way. The accommodations are of good quality (considering that they are shared dormitories). The group I was with was 70% British, so if you are looking for diversity of nationalities this is not the place. The same with the age issue, although it is an open tour in terms of age, most of the participants are around 23 years old.

This trip is a fantastic way to tour around South East Asia (SEA). It’s intense but extremely worth while. With optional activities on top at a small price your itinerary can be flexible enough to give you some free time to explore yourself or pack in as much as you can. The longest you will be in one place is 3 nights maximum. SEA can be quite overwhelming if you have not experienced the culture before, being with a group allows you to make new friends and experience this together. These can be the people that get you through bad phases and add value to the good phases. I do not think I could have done this alone. The tour guides themselves are amazing and really integrate into the group like you have an extra member and not this authoritative figure. They have great knowledge of their respective areas and are always on hand to help you whatever your need. You get a range of hostels (the good, the bad and the ugly) and some nights you will be on a sleeper bus and even get to experience a sleeper train. I could talk all day about the finer details of this tour but you’ll just have to experience it for yourself… trust me you won’t be disappointed.

Do I need to apply for visa for Vietnam prior to booking this trip or I can apply closer to when I want to travel? Is it easy process to obtain visa or can it be refused?

    Visa
    • The Dragon TripOperatorWritten March 2025

It's up to you when you decide to apply for a visa for Vietnam. There's limited advice we can offer on this because they're a legal government issued document and any decision made when applying has to be made by you. I'd suggest you enquire with your local Vietnamese embassy or search the Canadian/Vietnamese government website for more information about visas to Vietnam.
