Reviews of Small Group tours to Thailand, Cambodia And Vietnam
- Southeast Asia Discovery: Seasides and Street Food
I completed this trip almost two years ago now. But, I must say, it was one of the best experiences of my life. My guide was very knowledgeable, organized and fun. I met many amazing people from all over the world that I am still in contact with today (We are actually planning a reunion trip next year!). The accommodations weren't always the best, but you are staying in a few third world countries, and all things considering, they were just fine. Everywhere had wifi (even if it wasn't the greatest wifi at times). You had many options of daily activities, and were never forced to do anything you didn't want to. You were immersed right into Asian culture, whether it been trying new food, visiting temples, or meeting locals at the homestays. I would highly recommend this tour, it will change your life!
- Highlight of Southeast Asia in 10 Days - Halong Bay/ Siem Reap / Bangkok
The service all throughout was excellent and I highly recommend PrestigoAsia for my next trip.
- Treasures of Southeast Asia In 11 Days (Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand)
I loved this tour. Everything went smoothly from accommodation to tour guide. I worked with Dat and he had good knowledge in counseling and was always available when I had a problem. I appreciate it very much and will recommend it to my friends

What is the average duration of small group tours in these countries?
Small group tours through Thailand Cambodia and Vietnam typically run between 10-19 days giving travelers enough time to experience key destinations. A 15-day cycling tour showcases rural landscapes while a 19-day cultural route delves deeper into city life and historic sites. Travel data shows 15-16 day itineraries hit the sweet spot balancing cultural experiences with must-see locations like Angkor Wat Halong Bay and Bangkok's key temples.
What are the accommodation standards like on small group tours in these countries?
Accommodations on these tours range from comfortable 3-star hotels to upscale 5-star properties each selected for their prime locations and service quality. The Apricot Hotel in Hanoi provides boutique luxury while the Angkor Miracle Resort in Siem Reap offers modern amenities near major attractions. A recent guest remarked: "The hotels were all centrally located and our 4-star accommodations like the Somadevi Angkor were perfect for accessing temples and local markets."
What style of accommodation can I expect on small group tours?
Small group tours access distinctive properties that larger tours often bypass. You'll find places like the riverside La Siesta Resort in Hoi An the colonial-era Majestic Saigon Hotel and the garden-filled Angkor Village Hotel in Siem Reap. Recent travelers note: "the smaller properties we stayed in offered much more local character than the large international hotels used by bigger groups."
How much interaction with local communities is possible on small group tours?
The intimate group size creates natural opportunities for cultural exchange. Activities include sharing meals with families in Siem Reap taking cooking classes at Oodles of Noodles in Hoi An and meeting villagers along the Tonle Sap Lake. A guest shared: "Our small group size meant local families welcomed us into their homes and we could have genuine conversations with villagers."
Where are the best starting points for small group tours in these countries?
Three main gateway cities serve as ideal launch points: Hanoi for northern Vietnam and Halong Bay Bangkok for central Thailand's cultural sites or Siem Reap for quick access to Angkor Wat. According to travelers: "Starting in Hanoi with our small group allowed us to bond quickly while cruising Halong Bay before heading south through Vietnam."
