You can really get hands-on with Croatian culture especially in places like Zrnovo village on Korčula Island where locals will teach you how to make their traditional hand-rolled pasta called zrnovo makaruni right there in the cozy taverns they call konobas. Along the coast brudet is the go-to dish it's this rustic seafood stew that's perfect in seaside konobas. And if you're on Brač island head to a cafe in Dol to try hrapocusa it's this incredible layered cake with walnuts and sugar that locals are really proud of.
