- CMCarol· June 4th, 2025Overall, the tour was fun and we enjoyed ourselves. Croatia is certainly beautiful and the views spectacular. A few things could have made it better: ON THE SHIP: 1. Super tiny rooms! We survived but a few extra hooks to hang things, blinds for privacy, and nicer towels would help! 1. As non-smokers, it was often hard to find somewhere to sit outside without smokers around 2. Lots of extra fees: we already paid a Bike Rental fee, then needed to pay a "bike handling fee"? We needed to pay 15 euros each for entry in to the National Park. 3. We were told the air conditioning was available, but it only blew in lukewarm air until another passenger complained and then they " turned on the air". That was NOT GOOD! The rooms were super hot!! 4. NO Safety lesson was given (promised but not fulfilled). We were not told what to do in emergency situations, yet our boat did break down and the engine stopped working. 5. One step going from the first deck to the second gave many of us scratches on the ankles -poor construction and falling apart! THE BIKE TOURS: 1. David our guide was very knowledgeable, but we did not wish the extra history lessons each day that we had to stand to listen to. Sorry, but not our thing. We signed up to ride, not hear history. That could be an extra thing for those interested only as he really did know and appreciate his country's history. However, we don/t, sorry! Wasted time. 5. Rides were constantly waiting for slower riders. The mix of 30 people riding, some with electrics, some not, some fast, some slow, some who would stop even if it made others wait -not good! On Boatbike Tours, we were given apps with GSP that we followed in our own groups. Much better! The two guides would travel in the middle and at the end to make sure people were ok, but we didn't spend half the day waiting!! Also, the routes we did here were pretty simple, "up the hill down the hill" mostly! OVERALL: 1. Meals were wonderful and varied every day. Different eggs each day, or French Toast, lunches were amazing. Thanks to the cook!! 2. Sandy our bartender/waiter/main guy was fantastic. He watched closely to see if anyone needed a drink or something during meals. He would make many trips to the top to check on orders. He arranged to get extra towels when needed. He also chatted with me when I was not able to attend the one ride due to seasickness. Keep him!!Show moreTrip date: May 2025
- LHLee· June 3rd, 2025We were on the Pape Prvi, the week of May 24th. Let’s start by saying this was not an English tour as advertised. There was only 4 English speaking passengers. The main guide David did an amazing job, not only on the cycling part, but also communicating with the the two different groups. There was a lot of time taken up having to explain everything in two languages. The boat and its crew were excellent, the food was very good, the rooms were clean and well appointed. My only complaint was this was not an English tour as advertised. I have a feeling we were put on this boat to fill spaces that were not taken up by the non English group Lee HibbardShow moreKatarina Line commented on this reviewHi Lee, thank you for your review. We are happy to hear that you are satisfied with the service provide on the ship. At the date of the cruise it was a national holiday in Slovenia, and as they are a cycling fans and our neighburs, on four Bike tours... Show moreTrip date: April 2025
- ALife2Travel· May 8th, 2025We did a week long e-bike tour with a group on The Dream, 30 passengers and 8 crew. The Dream is a premium superior category ship and we knew going in that this wasn't a Celebrity Cruise lines cruise. I think your expectations need to be set. That being said, the trip, crew and the ship exceeded my expectations. From what we saw, the cabins were of VERY varied layouts and bed configurations. Traveling as a couple might mean twin beds. Our cabin was basic but we were pleased with the size, layout and bathroom in our cabin and were happy we had a cabin on the upper deck with a door and window outside for views and ventilation. The air conditioning was thankfully sufficient for us during the week. My only complaint regarding the cabin would be the bath towels. The cabin was straightened each day, but we only received fresh towels one time. It was hot, humid and rainy during the week and our bath towels rarely dried, even outside. On that note, bring clothespins.... they provide some but you often hang things to dry outside on the rail and the clothespins run out:) The public spaces were nice including a covered lounge outside the dining room, the dining room and and upstairs covered sun deck with lounge chairs. These spaces were definitely plenty for 30 passengers and gave you options to spread out or get out of your cabin on a rainy day. We had 2 meals each day on the ship, always breakfast, mostly lunch and a few dinners. I would say the lunch and dinners were very good. The bar and wine selection was limited but it wasn't a big ship and was not an issue for us. Fresh drinking water was available from a dispenser each day for us to refill water bottles. I do wish breakfast could have been a bit more varied, it was the same selection each day of scrambled eggs, roasted vegetables, toast, bakery items and potatoes. Lunch and dinners were more varied and the captains dinner was excellent. We had an excellent crew who were friendly and worked hard, our captain Pavao, Duje, Ivan, Sonja, Mare (cooks), Jana, Ivan (bartender!) and our tour guide David. We had a very lively and demanding group and the crew worked hard each day, especially having to transport 30 HEAVY e-bikes on and off the ship each day! Our tour guide David was outstanding, kept us informed, safe (as much as he could) for the week. Truthfully, with a large group of 30 people, we needed 2 tour guides, one in the front and one in the back but ended up using one of the more experienced riders in our group each day to follow at the end of our group. One tour guide is not enough to manage routes, e-bike mishaps and 30 people, this is just a safety issue and was a lot for one person. But David was a champ and kept us informed on weather, routes, restaurant options, weather delays, route changes and optional tours. Whatever he gets paid, it is not enough! The e-bikes were in good condition and each person was in charge of charging their own battery each night, their start key and helmet. You were assigned a bike according to height and weight and kept that bike for the week. The Islands were wonderful, especially loved Korcula, Hvar and Brac. We had time on each island to explore mostly at night for dinner and spent most days exploring by e-bike. The bathroom/beverage stops were well planned, usually a family owned cafe who accommodated our group. The captain had to change our itinerary several times due to weather, but we were kept informed and only had to miss one day of biking. David was always good with giving us options for restaurants, tours, shows or winery visits. We had a wine tasting on board the ship one afternoon which was enjoyable. Expectations for the e-biking: the bikes are well maintained but are pedal assist. There was a bit of a learning curve on that and I , myself had one tough day navigating some hills. As far as the routes, you are on roads with cars and trucks and need to pay attention. When the guide says, stay single file, you stay single file. Sometimes there were no guard rails on the roads and we rode through unexpected rain storms. This was not leisurely riding on paved bike paths but it was such an adventure and I would do it again. Thank you to our crew on the Dream, it was a memorable week!!Show moreTrip date: January 2025Review collected by Katarina Line
- PLPatricia· June 7th, 2024Had a great time on this trip. Seeing these islands on bike was so much fun. The chef prepared delicious meals, the staff was kind and helpful. Our guide Natasha took us on great rides and gave us history on where we were visiting. We had one day of drizzle which was pleasant riding because the temp was in 60’s. We had many opportunities to swim either during rides or after. The water was so refreshing in late May. I highly recommend using Tour Radar and touring with Katarina lines.Show moreTrip date: May 2024
- SFSuzanne· October 8th, 2023The bike trip was fantastic, so much history and our guide David was very knowledgeable. Being on the smaller boat was great as it kept our group at a smaller size, making it easier to build relationships and keep the group together. Our group was 19 in size, which in itself was plenty large enough, especially with only 1 guide. Some of the groups were much larger. Highly recommend going with the smaller boats if possible. We were on the Moja Maja which was a beautiful wood boat led by Captain Maja. The only thing that kept me from a 5 star review was that the trip was almost at the end of the season and it seemed like the staff may have been getting a little tired and were not always as patient as they could have been.Show moreTrip date: September 2023
- MWMieke· September 17th, 2023Our bike cruise was so well organised and the islands we did was just insane . 10/10 for our guide David who had such incredible knowledge . 10/10 for staff friendliness . Boat facilities 5/10 the cabins are dated and the linen had holes in it. Tiles had popped off the bathroom walls and tap leaking . If you are taller than 1.85m then the cabins won’t work for you . My husband is 1.92 and really struggled . Otherwise a brilliant trip and an excellent way to experience the islands and historyShow moreTrip date: September 2023
- DRDana· May 26th, 2023Rain caused us to miss 3 days of cycling, and itinerary was changed quite a bit, so we missed many sites. Not the tour company's fault. Boat, Captain and food were excellent. I would NOT recommend a hybrid bike for this mountainous terrain. Below deck cabin was dark and musty. Get an above deck cabin, and spring for an e-bike! Overall good value for the money.Show moreTrip date: May 2023
