What people love about Fully Guided Tours in Sicily
- Explore Southern Sicily
Tour was fabulous. Our tour leader Luca was amazing - incredibly knowledgeable, organized and helpful. Our tour group of 14 got along well and we really enjoyed each other’s company. Luca organized an optional dinner each evening and all opted to attend every dinner. We saw amazing sites and ate fabulous food. I would love to do another G Adventures tour.
- New Tour of Sicily from Palermo 10 Days
The hotels were great. The evening meals were sometimes disappointing. The buses were ,immaculate and comfortable. Our guide was a delight(Placido). His knowledge of Sicily and his love of his country made him a good guide. His sense of humour made his information much more compatible and interesting. The trip, was good value. I did think some of the days were pretty long and I would have enjoyed more free time but I would not have wanted to miss anything of what we saw. Maybe a longer more leisurely tour?
- Sicilian Secrets - Tour of Sicily 6 days
It was a really nice tour, we really enjoyed it.
What our customers ask about Fully Guided Tours & Trips in Sicily
How much of Sicily can I expect to see on a fully guided tour?
Standard 7-14 day guided tours in Sicily cover the essential destinations while allowing time to explore each location. The routes typically include the bustling streets of Palermo the ancient ruins of Syracuse the coastal charm of Taormina and the archaeological wonders of Agrigento's Valley of Temples. Tours lasting more than 10 days often add visits to the volcanic Aeolian Islands or lesser-known western coastal towns. A TourRadar traveler mentioned: "We saw more in 6 days in Sicily than 15 days in mainland Italy - the tour really maximized our time and covered all the key sites efficiently."
What type of accommodations can I expect on a fully guided Sicily tour?
Most Sicily tours provide stays in 4-star hotels that blend comfort with local character. Properties like the Hotel Villa Diodoro in Taormina offer views of Mount Etna while the Mercure Palermo Centro places guests in the heart of the old city. The Il Principe Hotel in Catania serves as a refined urban retreat. Each property is selected for its proximity to major attractions and ability to provide an authentic Sicilian experience. A TourRadar traveler noted: "The hotels were lovely and well located. The Hotel Villa Diodoro in Taormina was particularly memorable with its amazing views of Mount Etna."
How does seasonal timing affect fully guided tours in Sicily?
The most comfortable months for Sicily tours fall between March and May or September and October when temperatures are mild and crowds are moderate. Summer brings beach-perfect weather especially in coastal towns like Taormina. Winter tours offer quieter experiences at major attractions though some seasonal businesses may be closed. A TourRadar traveler advised: "We went in May and had perfect weather for exploring everything from Mount Etna to the Valley of Temples."
What are the most common UNESCO sites visited on fully guided Sicily tours?
The core UNESCO sites on Sicily tours include Agrigento's Valley of the Temples the Greek and Roman remains of Syracuse and the baroque architecture of Noto and Ragusa. Most itineraries also feature visits to Mount Etna Europe's largest active volcano the mosaic-rich Villa Romana del Casale and Palermo's Arab-Norman buildings. A TourRadar traveler noted: "We got to see all the major UNESCO sites with expert guides who really brought the history to life."
What's included in the meal plans for fully guided Sicily tours?
