- MCMarie-Louise· June 1st, 2024The tour was very interesting and gave us knowledge about the history and culture of Scottland. We loved the countryside along the way and the two day trip to the Hebrides Islands was an eye opener. Paul was entertaining and patient with us. He gave us a lot of interesting facts and insights into the Country.Show moreHighland Experience Tours commented on this reviewHello Marie- Louise, We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a 5* review, and glad you enjoyed your time with Highland Experience and our driver Paul. We will pass on your kind words to him. We hope to see you again soon! Kind regards, Gracie... Show moreTrip date: May 2024

- AAAbigail· August 13th, 2022We had an amazing time. Our guide Andy made the trip for us, friendly, funny and passionate about Scotland and its nature. The scenery was breathtaking and I am really glad I got to visit Lewis and Haris. Highly recommended.Show moreTrip date: August 2022

- JAJill· September 5th, 2019Mark - our tour guide was excellent. itinerary could have been arranged better by not being in Stornaway on the 'sabbath' or leaving later for the coach and going straight to the ferry terminal after sightseeing. B & B's were very good. It would have made life easier if coach had pockets in the back of the seats but otherwise it was comfortable except for the seat belts which were very tight and uncomfortable. I would certaily take another tour with them.Show moreTrip date: August 2019
- KSKathryn· August 20th, 2019Mark was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable about Scotland and it's history. He was able to bring the places we were seeing to life. Except for our accommodations in Stornaway we were very disappointed.Show moreTrip date: August 2019
- MPMarie-Claude· July 9th, 2019It was truly amazing. Harris and Lewis Islands are beyond beautiful. Worth every penny :)Show moreTrip date: July 2019

Asked on December 8th, 2024What happens if there are delays on tour and it affects subsequent travel plans?
- Highland Experience ToursOperator•Written December 2024
Highland Experience Tours do not recommend planning departure on the tour return date as they cannot guarantee timely return to Edinburgh due to possible delays such as traffic or unforeseen events.

Asked on December 6th, 2024I am considering joining your Outer Hebrides tour as an individual solo traveller. My concern is mobility and age. I have just turned eighty and walk somewhat slowly on a walking stick. I have been extending he length of my walks but they are still rather limited to say 100 years before a short rest. I see you advertise suitable to 99 years but will it be suitable for me. Also what are the insurance requirements?
- Highland Experience ToursOperator•Written December 2024
Our driver/guides ensure that when a site is visited that they stop as close as possible to said site/attraction so that limited walking is required. You are welcome to walk as much as or little a you wish whilst you are at attractions/sites. We regularly welcome seniors and those with limited mobility onto our tours and I sincerely believe that you would have no issues making the most of this tour! No hikes or long walks are required on this tour and your driver/guide would be more than happy to assist you in any way you can.

Traveler•Written December 2024Thanks for your encouraging response. You do not mention travel insurance. Am I insured?
- Highland Experience ToursOperator•Written December 2024
We recommend that those who take our tours have suitable travel insurance before taking a tour with us. Travel insurance is not included in the price of the tour, however this is available as an optional extra when you book with Tourradar.

- Highland Experience ToursOperator•Written August 2024
The Hebridean Escape tour departs at 08:30 from Caffe Nero, 1 Parliament Sq, EH1 1RE, Edinburgh. Return is approximately four days later around 19:00. Due to unpredictable weather conditions in Scotland, it is recommended to bring sensible footwear such as walking shoes or trainers.

Asked on July 29th, 2024Can you store lager luggage in Edinburgh?
- Highland Experience ToursOperator•Written July 2024
Due to the size of our vehicles, on our multi-day tours, we guarantee to carry one piece of luggage per passenger of 55cm x 40cm x 20cm, with a maximum of 15 kg. This is equivalent to hand luggage allowed in an aircraft cabin. Should you have larger suitcases or luggage, there are left luggage offices at the train and bus stations in Edinburgh. You can also use Stasher to store your luggage at different locations around Edinburgh.
