Sophie· April 16th, 2025It was a wonderful trip, very well organized. The operator responded very quickly, and there were no problems with flights, transfers or planes. The staff in the hotels and activities were very professional. Note that the tours are very cultural and sometimes long. I didn't realize it when I read the description, but it's true that more fun or nature activities were a bit lacking in my opinion. The only negative points are the following: - In the first hotel (TK 123) there was mold in our room and we couldn't change rooms. - The guide for Hoi An and Hue didn't speak very good English, we didn't always understand what he was saying and he didn't always understand us. His tours were always on the run, so we couldn't stop to enjoy certain places. - There was only one missed transfer: after the cruise ended in Ha Long Bay, we had to wait 1.5 hours for a bus to pick us up. What we enjoyed most was the small town of Hoi An, the Ha Long Bay cruise, nightlife in Saigon and the stay in Cambodia. The locations were interesting but expect constant tourist trap shops. The stay in Hoi An was too long - the place is a massive tourist trap, one day is enough to visit the historical part, I would have preferred to stay in Da Nang. Didn’t get the five stars for the few hiccups along the way which could have been handled better. 1) We were put on a cruise with non English speaking tour grp. Which meant there was a lack of communication with order of itinerary and lousy excuses when we were unable to do activities included in our package. Very disappointing! When I texted rep at Legends only response….radio silence till we saw him the next day. Only to hear more excuses! 2) Hotel in Ho Chi Min City was very old, musty and had mold and mildew. Carpets were stained and smelt awful. We did change rooms….which was only slightly better. When I texted rep from Legends only response was ‘sorry you are disappointed with the room’ it wasn’t the response I was looking for! When I asked to be shown the room selection for us on the hotel website the reception at hotel couldn’t even find the category room we should have had! The guides in Hue and Siam Reap were excellent not enough words to describe the brilliant service provided.
