An unforgettable experience for all of us . The only ( if at all) comment I will give is that the hotel at Siem Reap had some issues . The rooms were good . But a few inconveniences such as hot water , wifi , room locking arrangements , not a great breakfast . By your instructing them about it these can be improved . - DDianeMorris· August 19th, 2022Enjoyable, hassle-free travel!!! My partner and I took part in the "Taste of Vietnam & Cambodia - 12 Days" tour - Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Ho Chi Minh City and Siem Reap. We were very pleasantly surprised when we realised that basically the entire tour was private. Having our own personal tour guide and driver made the experience enjoyable and hassle-free. Every tour guide we had was polite, friendly and knowledgeable. It made trips to museums and attractions a lot more interesting and interactive. The cars we were transported in were safe and air-conditioned and usually kitted out with bottles of water. In Siem Reap, in particular, we were always provided with cold towels which was very refreshing. The hotels we stayed at were pleasant and situated in relatively safe areas in the city (Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Siem Reap). We also took part in a cruise in Ha Long Bay, which was fantastic. The included meals were delicious and authentic -- we were taken to some nice restaurants where cleanliness was not an issue. Our meal in Siem Reap was most impressive, where we were taken to a luxurious hotel for their buffet dinner and show showcasing traditional Cambodian dance. There was one instance when our flight from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh city was cancelled (this was an internal flight that Legend had booked for us) and we were put on an earlier flight when we got to the airport. I had emailed Legend prior to the flight to let them know, in hopes of having a driver arranged to meet us early. When we got to our destination there was no email reply, so we were initially concerned, but our driver was there to meet us all the same (even though we were about 2-3 hours early). I'm not quite sure if they had seen the email or if the driver just happened to be there early, but we were glad that it wasn't an issue in the end. If I had to do the tour differently, I would only ask to vary the final day in Siem Reap - our two days in Cambodia was basically dedicated to temples. After the first day, my partner and I would probably have preferred to do something different - as it did get quite tiring going from temple to temple (particularly in the heat). From memory our tour guide seemed to suggest that it's something you can request anyway, so it would be worth asking the question if you would like to change it up a little bit. Ultimately - I have no hesitations recommending Legend Travel Group. Having never taken part in a tour before, I was mostly impressed by the fact that it was basically private (one of the tour guides advised that they try to make the tours private wherever possible). The organisation and ease of travel was also extremely valuable, as it allowed my partner and me to fully enjoy our first holiday together. It was great.The itinerary was terrific (we did not have to double back at any point), the price was reasonable, and the trip came off precisely as described. When we had a communication hiccup about our hotel mid-trip while in the Mekong Delta, Legend Travel responded right away and resolved the problem. When the road from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap was slowed by flooding, Legend recommended an inexpensive flight instead.
