Our guide, Andee Percy, was very knowledgeable and provided the historical background to each visited city or site. In addition, all activities were well-coordinated so we moved seemlessly from one place to the other. Although we had to move very early in the morning and with 3 kids too, it paid off as we got to maximize the time at the various locations. Asked on April 11th, 2022We're looking for a tour that takes in The Passion Play and some surrounding areas, preferably with UNESCO World Site Heritage destinations. Ahead of Amsterdam we're looking at some family places and, of course, Copenhagen in Denmark as well as Ypres, (the battlefields) and Brugge, including but not limited to, the flower extravaganza of the Netherlands (this year only?) the schwrovski (sp) museum in Innsburk (think that's where it is)... Any alternative ideas of your tours that might work?

We don't have a trip that includes all of those things; but some trips have some destinations, others have others, but given that Oberammergau is only every ten years, we suspect that is your number 1 priority. The demand for Oberammergau is huge, so don't delay too long securing that destination. If your time is reasonably limited you could consider our sister company Trafalgar who operate the European Whirl which includes Oberammergau but has less time in Lucerne. Then if you've time, you could see Floriade in Amsterdam on a 10-day Trafalgar 'Best of Belgium, Luxembourg and Amsterdam' - there's four items off your list including UNESCO sites and the two that are time-centric. Our suggestion: perhaps look at what are your 'must sees' - in other words, you don't want to leave Europe without seeing those sights. Next: 'would be nice' to see, so although you'd like to see those places, you'll still be happy without them. Does that make sense? We also offer more specific country explorers which may suit you in regard to Ypres as well, but they will have to fit in around your other arrangements. Are you at all flexible with your dates in terms of spending a little more time in Europe? Either way, please let us know how we can help - we love helping our guests plan their holidays!
