- MMMarie· November 8th, 2025Very good selection of a diversity of geographical and environmental features and sights which represented the nature and culture of Iceland. Stephanie· November 4th, 2025The tour and what you saw was great, however the guide I had wasn’t great. Zero information given, lack of food options and we didn’t really know what was on the agenda for the day. I think my experience would have been totally different if I had a different guide. (I have provided specific feedback directly to the tour operator) Food options - some of the hotels are in the middle of no where - so you are limited with the food option of the hotel only. If you are picky, I’d recommend getting food options at the supermarket or gas station. Hotels you stayed at were good - clean and had everything you need. You get to the hotels early evening around 5pm ish and then leave around 8am the next day. Akuryri is a cute town - do some research on what you’d like to see here as this is the only town you’ll visit with stuff to do. (The rest are super small with not much going on in them) The tour visits a thermal spa lagoon - they charge for towels, so BYO if you want to avoid the extra charges. (There isn’t anything to do at this stop except for the spa lagoon, even though the guide references you can explore the town) You are on the bus for a long time. And the ground in the bus gets wet and dirty - consider bringing a bag cover to protect your backpack - I didn’t the first day and the bottom of my backpack was wet. (The overhead compartment doesn’t fit much). I would have done my own driving if I was more confident in driving in the snowy conditions. If you are confident in doing so, I’d recommend you look at this as an alternative.Show more

Pam· September 2nd, 2025I completed this 6 day tour in late July. What a truly amazing experience. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. The driver/guide was amazing and the sights that we saw were truly magical. There we 18 of us in a very comfortable mini van. The accommodation choices were great as well. We even did additional adventures as the driver/guide was an experienced local. This tour was one I will never forget.Show moreTrip date: July 2025- BCBrooke· August 30th, 2025My trip to Iceland was amazing!!! Artic adventures is a great tour company. - CVCha· July 28th, 2025Overall, the trip is good. However, one thing I want to mention is that the driver drove a little too fast. We drove along the coastline and the roads are narrow, up and down all the time. Many are gravel roads. There is not room on the side of the roads if vehicle slips. It was very dangerous.Show moreTrip date: July 2025
- CECharles· June 2nd, 2025Our guide (Carl) was wonderful. Personable, engaging, entertaining, solicitous - genuinely connecting with his group as individuals. Carl merits 5 stars. We expected the accommodations to be rustic, and they were, a bit more than expected. Space in rooms was sparse and clumsily arranged - one bathroom had the toilet paper dispenser so badly placed it made sitting on the toilet awkward. As 4 of 5 hotels we used were owned by Arctic Adventures, so they should be more aware of the comfort of the hotels.) I’d give 2 stars at best to the accommodations. The trip was well planed and the sites memorable - 4 1/2 stars.Show moreTrip date: May 2025

Asked on October 28th, 2025I'm planning to visit Iceland at the end of March next year, is this a good time to do this tour? Are all the activities listed in the description included in the final price? Can you provide me more details about the itinerary and the accommodations?
Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written October 2025Yes, the end of March is a great time to join this tour, you'll enjoy beautiful winter landscapes, longer daylight hours, and still have a chance to see the Northern Lights. All major activities listed in the tour description are included in the final price such ice cave visit (available October–April) and whale watching in North Iceland, but it does not include Forest Lagoon that is optional extra. Also, meals beyond breakfast are not included. Please kind note that the itinerary is subject to change based on weather, roads, glacier access etc. So while the major visits are listed, the exact route or what you'll do may vary. Breakfast is included each morning, and you'll stay in comfortable country hotels or guesthouses with private bathrooms. The exact accommodations may vary depending on availability.

Traveler•Written October 2025I'm considering booking the accommodation in Reykjavik city centre close to the tours pick up/drop off points, any recommendations?
Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written October 2025If you are looking for accommodation in Reykjavik, you may want to check and book the hotels that are set as our authorized pick-up/drop-off locations. By booking one of these, we would be able to pick you up and drop you off right at your hotel before and after your tour.

Traveler•Written October 2025As I'm planning doing some day trips from Reykjavik I've seen some tour operators offer pick-up and drop-off services at designated bus stops throughout the city. Is this your case as well?
Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written October 2025We do have more authorized pick-up locations including various hotels, bus terminals, bus stops, gas stations, and cultural landmarks throughout Reykjavik. Unfortunately, as this is an initial inquiry, we cannot send you the link so that you could check where exactly each pick-up location is located.

Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written October 2025Please note that the hike is included as part of the itinerary. Traveler•Written October 2025Can you tell me if the point where the walking tour leaves the bus is in or near a town where we could spend the time while others are walking.
Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written October 2025Would you be so kind to let us know what kind of 3 hour hike to the waterfall you meant in your previous message, as on this tour there is only 1 hike - and it is a glacier hike. It can be added as an extra or skipped if you book Standart Package of the tour.

Asked on August 12th, 2025Do you recommend we fly in day before tour starts? What time does the tour start on 4/2/26? Can you suggest an affordable hotel for night of 4/1/26 from which we can get transports to the tour on 4/2/26?
Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written August 2025We recommend to fly in a day before and fly out on a day after the tour. You would have time to explore Reykjavik on your own or relax after your flight, before the tour and vice versa. We recommend booking hotels that are set as our authorized pick-up locations.

Asked on August 9th, 2025Can you pick us up in Reykjavik at Hotel Fron on June 27, 2026 to start the tour? If not where is the closest pickup location to the hotel?
Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written August 2025Unfortunately, we're unable to offer pickup directly from Hotel Fron, as it is not one of our authorized pickup locations. However, the closest designated pickup point is Bus Stop #6 – Safnahúsið (The Culture House), which is conveniently located just a short 5-minute walk from your hotel.
