- CVCha· July 28th, 2025Overall, the trip is good. However, one thing I want to mention is that the driver drove a little too fast. We drove along the coastline and the roads are narrow, up and down all the time. Many are gravel roads. There is not room on the side of the roads if vehicle slips. It was very dangerous.Show moreTrip date: July 2025
- CECharles· June 2nd, 2025Our guide (Carl) was wonderful. Personable, engaging, entertaining, solicitous - genuinely connecting with his group as individuals. Carl merits 5 stars. We expected the accommodations to be rustic, and they were, a bit more than expected. Space in rooms was sparse and clumsily arranged - one bathroom had the toilet paper dispenser so badly placed it made sitting on the toilet awkward. As 4 of 5 hotels we used were owned by Arctic Adventures, so they should be more aware of the comfort of the hotels.) I’d give 2 stars at best to the accommodations. The trip was well planed and the sites memorable - 4 1/2 stars.Show moreTrip date: May 2025
- HDHasan Ben· May 14th, 2025Great tour around Iceland. Our guide (Vicknar) was great. He made some additional stops at interesting places and gave us stories about his personal experiences growing up & living in Iceland. The planned sights visited were incredible and the hotels we stayed at were in great locations. The included activities were things you could only do in a handful of places like Glacier Hiking, Hiking to top of dormant Volcano Crater & Arctic Whale Watching Really enjoyed the stay and tour at the traditional Icelandic homestead. The museum was a pleasant surprise.Show moreTrip date: May 2025

- Nuha· April 7th, 2025While I had high expectations for this trip, several issues significantly impacted my experience: • Transportation Issues: A mini bus was provided for 17 people, which was inadequate for a road trip requiring a minimum of 350 km a day. The vehicle was cramped and uncomfortable, making long journeys difficult for everyone involved. • Guided Tours: he guided tours did not meet the promised standards. Arctic Adventure provided us with a driver who also acted as the guide. While he was friendly and nice, he lacked guiding experience. We did not receive a professional morning briefing for the day, nor clear information throughout our journey. Many of our questions went unanswered, which diminished the overall experience. • Sightseeing and break stops: The time allocated for sightseeing and breaks was not planned professionally. Some locations required more time for proper enjoyment, while others were given excessive time. This led to missed opportunities to fully appreciate the beautiful stops we visited. Additionally, we had unnecessary stops at gas stations and supermarkets, which further detracted from our experience. This led to missed opportunities to appreciate the stunning scenery and attractions. • Activities cancellation: Unfortunately, our whale watching tour was canceled due to bad weather. However, the way this cancellation was managed was not professional. We had a night in the lovely town of Akureyri, but due to a late arrival, we didn’t have a chance to explore. We noticed poor weather conditions in the morning and suggested to our guide that we check for alternative plans, like enjoying sometime in the town before proceeding. The guide assured us the weather was fine for whale watching. After a 30-minute drive, we were informed that the tour had been canceled with no alternative options provided. We ended up spending the day wandering between supermarkets, which was very disappointing given our expectations for this trip. • Customer Service: When I reached out for assistance during the trip, the response was unsatisfactory. Despite marking my emails as urgent, I did not receive a same-day response. There was no direct contact number provided for emergencies, and my inquiries were largely ignored. This left me feeling unsupported while dealing with unexpected service issues that I had paid for. • After-Sales Service: I sent multiple complaint emails with several reminders but received no response. While I received prompt replies before the sale, after-sales communication was nonexistent. This lack of support has been very frustrating. • Accommodation: The accommodation was acceptable and met my expectations These issues not only detracted from my overall enjoyment but also led to significant inconveniencesShow moreArctic Adventures commented on this reviewDear Nuha, Thank you for your feedback. - Laurie· December 10th, 2024This tour was more than I could have hoped for. Although the northern lights weren’t their most vibrant, this tour had beautiful beaches with ice, a fun 4wd in snow out to an ice caves, humpback whales, the historical Wilderness Center, a spa, a horse farm and the most wonderful and thoughtful guide, Hjalti. Our group bonded well becoming friends. The accommodations were all lovely. This was a dream trip beyond compare.Show moreTrip date: November 2024

Asked on June 23rd, 2025Will you take a 7 year-old?
- Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written June 2025
Unfortunately, the minimum age requirement for this adventure is 8 years old. We cannot accept younger participants to join the tour due to safety concerns.

Asked on June 17th, 2025I am 83 years old and looking for a tour without much walking. I see you have included a 3-hour hike to a waterfall. Are there other events like that as well? Would I be able to stay behind, maybe in a restaurant or coffee shop, and skip that event?
- Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written June 2025
The 6-Day Around Iceland is more of a sightseeing tour. If you do not wish to participate in the glacier hike portion of the tour - you can skip it and explore the area while the rest of the participants will be on the tour. Unfortunately, we would not be able to offer any refund for the skipped portion of the tour.

Traveler•Written June 2025My concern is having somewhere warm to stay for the 3-hours while you are on the hike. Can you also send me the daily itinerary so I can be sure this is the right tour for me. And I'll be coming alone. Does that affect the price? If so, what would the cost be? What hotel do we stay in at Reyjavik so I could make pre and/or post tour reservations?
- Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written June 2025
You can always stay at the booking hut while the rest of the group will be on the tour, or you could explore the surrounding area. If you are a solo traveler and wish to have a single room, then you would have to add a single room supplement which would increase the price by 70 000 ISK, however if you are willing to share your room with another traveler of the same gender, you would have to select the twin room when booking the tour, that way the price will be the same. As you are looking at the 6-day Around Iceland adventure, you will not be staying in Reykjavik on any of the 5 nights.

Asked on June 15th, 2025I have a family of 2 adults and 4 kids. The kids ages are: 16, 14, 11 and a little one of 4 years old. Can the little one make the tour? Is free?
- Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written June 2025
The minimum age requirement for all of our multi-day tours is 8 years old. Unfortunately, we cannot accept participants that have not reached the minimum age requirement.

Asked on June 14th, 2025I have a question about the optional services. I cannot see where to select these items on the site. We will definitely want to go to the Myvatn Nature Baths, and may want to rent hiking boots. Are these things we take care of at the time of the tour, or do they need to be purchased in advance?
- K
Kelly
Traveler•Written June 2025Another question. Do we really need hiking boots? I do quite a bit of hiking, but always with tennis shoes.
- Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written June 2025
We can add the optional extras to your booking. If you are planning to wear any other sturdy shoes, you can skip on renting the hiking boots. Most of the tour is a sightseeing adventure, however, if you are planning to join the Glacier hike tour, then you will need the hiking boots. If you do not wish to wear our rental hiking boots during the tour, you can always rent the hiking boots right before the glacier hike tour. The price for a pair of hiking boots would be around 1500 ISK. The Myvatn Nature baths can be added either before the tour, or purchased during the tour, on the day of the activity. The price would be 7400 ISK per ticket.

Asked on June 12th, 2025Where is the pick up and drop off location for the Iceland tour? We want to do an additional day tour in Reykjavik and also a trip to the blue lagoon.
- Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written June 2025
Pick-up and drop-off locations are in Reykjavik hotels. We do not offer airport pick-up/drop-off. Blue Lagoon can be visited on arrival day as it is 20 minutes from the airport. We cannot extend the tour, but day tours can be booked separately.

Traveler•Written June 2025What is the difference between the 6 day and 7 day Iceland tours?
- Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written June 2025
The 7-day tour includes an additional day visiting Snaefellsnes Peninsula and Borgarfjordur Fjord. Glacier hike and whale-watching are included in both tours. Optional Myvatn Nature baths cost 7400 ISK per person.

Asked on June 7th, 2025I have a US Passport. My wife has a Chinese passport and a US Permanant Resident card. How difficult will it be for her to get a visa, and do you assist in the process?
- Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written June 2025
Unfortunately, we do not have such information about the difficulty of Visa application process, you should reach out to the Embassy and they will be able to consult you. We can provide the document which includes the accommodation information for Visa application purposes. However, in order for us to be able to provide such document, the tour has to be booked and paid for.
