- HOHeather· June 12th, 2025Everything from booking through the trip was fantastic! For starters, AJ was accommodating in that they allowed the trip to proceed with only one person - it makes it difficult for those solos at times when we don’t at least have a second person - I am super grateful. Next, my guide, Rafael, was second to none. I asked a ton of questions about everything and he was able and willing to answer anything. He also added what I thought were special touches tailored to what I like during the trip - another benefit of solo travel! Finally, the trip itself was amazing- perfect itinerary with lots of activity and variety in the scenery and lodgings. I would highly recommend!!Show moreTrip date: May 2025
- Kathleen· February 26th, 2024This was a great trip with Jorge as our guide. The places we stayed at were quite nice and unique. The food was delicious. The hikes and the views were amazing although sometimes a challenge ( for me) . I would definitely book with Adventure Journeys again.Show moreAdventure Journeys commented on this reviewThank you very much for your kind words! - Alina· May 12th, 2023I am incredibly grateful to Adventure Journeys for organising this tour. It turned out to be a one-person group, and I was a little bummed at first, but my guide Jorge managed to make it feel like home here in Ecuador. The places we went to were incredible (majestic Chimborazo is now forever in my heart), food was amazing, and I was awestruck by accommodation every time. And due to the mobility of our small group we went to see much more than was expected. If I come back to Ecuador, I will definitely resort to AJ services once more.Show moreTrip date: April 2023
- TTorsten· January 5th, 2023This review is 5-stars because of David. He knew every corner store owner, reputable restaurant, street doggo, hiking trail and survival tip needed (or not) on the trip. His expertise surpassed every other guide I’ve toured with and then some. I’ve traveled to 31 countries and lived abroad 4 times but have rarely come across someone so knowledgeable and passionate about their country and of sharing their home with others. The accommodations were charming with very comfortable and welcoming amenities especially when it came to the service and food. I’ve done everything from 7-day safaris sleeping in the dirt to 5-star luxury trips so I’ve seen it all. You’ll be cozy, clean and have a comfortably full belly after each day’s journey. Please be a humble and responsible traveler if you decide to take a tour through Ecuador, especially if it’s with David. The hospitality, the professionalism and the enthusiasm of the people you will encounter along this trip deserve at least that (and a ton of thanks). Safe travels and yes, this is the tour to take.Show moreAdventure Journeys commented on this reviewHi Torsten. Thank you so much for sharing your experience. - AGAgathe· November 26th, 2018Fantastic way to explore Ecuador’s nature. The trekking was excellent and every day felt different. Christian was our guide and he did a great job at introducing us to this beautiful country and its culture and people. I traveled alone and immediately felt comfortable and welcomed by everyone in the group.
