He quickly figured out our abilities and interests and tailored the tour accordingly. He was very knowledgeable about Ecuador and gave us an insider's perspective. There were a variety of activities and adventures and the accommodations were perfect. We could not have asked for a better trip. Adventure journeys was so great from the driver to the care our guide Marcelo took of us, the trip was unparalleled. We saw so much...but didn't feel rushed from.place to place because we were having fun the whole time. We would stop for cultural experiences along the way...so that our car trips didn't even seem like a waste of time. Every minute was spent soaking up the beauty and culture of Ecuador and then we had so much fun biking, rafting, canyoneering, hiking and learning. Paul is extremely knowledgeable about his Home country, the history, nature and wildlife. The 8-day trip brought us to the Cotopaxi National Park, we had an exciting bike tour in the cloud forest; the tour went further to the Amazon, where we enjoyed canoying and home stay at a wonderful family (we made our own chocolate !). Then we had lots of fun during a rafting expedition, we relaxed in the hot springs in Papallacta and learned about a sustainable project, developed by AJ. Our last adventure was a trekking tour around the Cuicocha Crater Lake. Not to forget the nice hotels which were selected for us. During the entire tour, our guide Paul was paying so much attention that we feel comfortable, he took sufficient time to answer to our questions, Paul was flexible to adapt to another timetable and made us feel like a family! - All in a super funny, but always professional manner.
