Itinerary
- Day 1
Antigua
A driver will meet you at Aurora airport holding a sign with your name and drive you to your hotel in Antigua. It's about an hour depending on traffic, and you'll get settled in for the night.
- Day 2
Volcano Pacaya
After your driver and guide pick you up from the hostel, you'll head by bus for about an hour to the base of Volcano Pacaya. From there, the hike takes around 2 hours to reach the summit and see the volcanic landscape up close.

Antigua to Rio Dulce
Your local partner meets you at the hotel to arrange your transfer, then you'll board a first-class public bus heading to Rio Dulce. The route takes you through different terrain as you make your way toward the coast.
- Day 4
Rio Dulce to Livingston
At 9 am you'll board a local shared boat traveling to Livingston, where you can walk around and see the Garifuna communities that call this place home. Later in the afternoon, the boat brings you back to Rio Dulce.

Landmarks/POIs Livingston - Day 5
Rio Dulce to Flores
At 2 pm a first-class public bus departs Rio Dulce heading to Flores. This journey takes about 4 hours, so you'll have time to rest and watch the landscape change as you travel inland toward the jungle.
- Day 6
Tikal Ruins
Your guide picks you up at 4:30 am from your accommodation and drives you for an hour to Tikal Park. You'll explore the Mayan ruins early in the morning while learning about the ancient civilization, and you might spot howler monkeys in the jungle before heading back to Flores.

Flores to San Ignacio
At 7 am you'll be transferred by shared minivan (holding 14 passengers) toward San Ignacio, with a stop at Melchor de Mencos on the Guatemala-Belize border. The 3-hour journey gives you a chance to see the transition between regions.

Caye Caulker
You're free to explore Caye Caulker on your own terms, wandering the small island at whatever pace feels right. If you'd prefer structure, you can arrange a local guide to take you out for activities like snorkeling or island tours.
