Itinerary
- Day 1
Ho Chi Minh City
You'll arrive in Ho Chi Minh City and have a welcome meeting at 6 pm. If your flight gets in early, there's time to wander around on your own and check out Pham Ngu Lao Street's local market, swing by Vinh Nghiem Pagoda, or track down a good Banh mi sandwich. After the meeting wraps up, there's an optional welcome dinner with your group.

Mekong Delta
The bus heads out this morning toward the Mekong Delta, Vietnam's rice-growing heartland. You'll spend your first full day cycling along quiet backroads, passing farms and villages. After lunch, you'll check out local orchards and cottage industries. As evening arrives, a boat ride takes you up one of the canals to reach your homestay, where you'll have a homecooked dinner with a local family.

Sadec to Chau Doc
An early boat ride gets things started, then the bus takes you to riverside Sadec to begin cycling. You'll ride through bustling river settlements where daily life centers on the waterways, stopping for lunch in a local community. After cycling to the ferry, the bus heads to Chau Doc near the Cambodian border. Your evening is yours to explore at your own pace or rest at the hotel.

Tinh Bien to Phnom Penh
You'll cycle to Tinh Bien, Vietnam's last border town before Cambodia. After lunch, border formalities happen here, then you cross into Cambodia and meet your new support team. The cycling continues toward Phnom Penh along dusty rural roads and onto a paved highway. From there, the support vehicle takes over for the busy final stretch into the capital. Your evening is free to explore and find good Cambodian food.

Mekong Islands (Koh Dach & Koh Okhna)
The day starts at Mongkol Serei Kien Khleang Pagoda on the Mekong River, then a short ferry takes you to Mekong Island, also called Koh Dach. You'll spend the full day cycling leisurely around this 10-hectare island, watching local artisans work on traditional silks, pottery, and woodcarvings. The route passes temples and pagodas, with stops at roadside food stalls for refreshments. You'll cycle past rice paddies, vegetable farms, and fruit orchards, visiting Okhna Tey island before heading back to the mainland. Your evening is free.

Phnom Penh Historical Sites
Today you'll confront Cambodia's difficult history. You'll visit Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, a former school where the Khmer Rouge tortured over 20,000 people, then move to the Choeung Ek Memorial with its stupa containing approximately 8,000 human skulls from the Killing Fields. After that, the tour shifts to brighter aspects of Cambodian history with visits to the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda.

Phnom Penh to Siem Reap
This is a long driving day to Siem Reap. Grab a window seat to take in the beautiful rural scenery of tiny towns and countryside. You and fellow travelers can play road trip games, read, or nap during the journey. When you arrive, ask your local leader for dinner recommendations.

Angkor Complex
You'll explore the Angkor Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage site containing over 1,000 temples. Cycling starts on small roads and paths to a remote, quiet temple away from crowds, then continues through jungle to the main sites. You'll park the bikes and walk through the iconic Hindu temple Angkor Wat. Later, cycling takes you to the original Buddhist temple, Bayon Temple, then to Ta Phrom where jungle has reclaimed the ancient ruins and you get your Indiana Jones moment.

Banteay Srei Temple
You'll travel to Banteay Srei, a 10th century temple dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva, famous for its intricate carvings throughout. After the temple was rediscovered in 1914, it got restored using traditional techniques and materials. Following your exploration, you have a free afternoon and evening in Siem Reap to relax at the hotel or wander around on your own.

Siem Reap to Sa Kaeo
An early start this morning takes you toward the Cambodia-Thailand border. The crossing at Poipet/Aranyaprathet includes around 4 hours for travel and border formalities. From there, you transfer to Tha Kabark Dam where there's a chance to swim before lunch. Then it's cycling to Sa Kaeo where you'll spend the night.

Sa Kaeo to Kabinburi
You'll wake at sunrise and head to the local market where Buddhist monks from nearby temples receive food from villagers in exchange for blessings. If it appeals to you, you can participate in the alms-giving tradition. The rest of the day involves cycling on mostly flat terrain toward Kabinburi district, passing rubber tree and tapioca plantations and lush rice fields.

Kabinburi to Bangkok
The day begins with a drive to a small rural village, then onto your bike for the last full cycling day. You'll head to Khun Dan Dam, Thailand's largest dam, cycling past small villages, paddy fields, farms, and shops. After lunch, a quick swim in the dam refreshes you before the bikes get packed up. A private vehicle then takes you to Bangkok, your final destination, where your local leader and group can join an optional celebration dinner.

Your adventure ends after breakfast with no scheduled activities. If you'd like to stay longer, contact your booking agent ahead of time to arrange extra accommodation. Those staying in Bangkok can explore Chinatown by riverboat, walk the tourist-filled Khao San Road, or visit Wat Pho, home to Thailand's largest reclining Buddha.
