- FMFlorentino· July 25th, 2024First off, this trip is great because you get to see Macchu Picchu. However, the rest is miserable. Lodging/Accommodations: The only great hotel is the Lima Wasi in Lima. The rest are 1 star hotels. The one in Cusco was dirty, no AC but you have “windows” that open up to the inside hallway so there is no air circulation. We didn’t have water pressure, so no showers or flushing toilets. The hotel in Aguascalientes, get ready since it’s next to the train station. This means the exhaust comes inside your room, so get ready to get a headache. Also, the first train arrives at 5 am and the last train departs at 11 pm, so very little sleep. Many of the mornings, you have to meet by 7 am, so horrible sleep and being tired is the norm. Our entire tour group (15 people) complained to G Adventures about the lodging issues and they informed us that they frequently get the same complaints. Our tour group contained very experienced travelers, so we all had been around the world, so we are very familiar with different cultural experiences and lower poverty countries. Breakfast: Expect very little breakfast, if you are even lucky to get breakfast. In Cusco, the restaurant would run out of food due all of the guest. You are lucky to get two scrambled eggs, so go for the bread items instead. Transportation: G Adventures has the aspect very down. The flights were all scheduled and they will give you boarding passes and luggage tags. Busses were clean and always on time. Cusco-Round Trip: Be advised that in Cusco, the tour company will give you a duffel bag to transfer some of your belongings. You must leave your remaining luggage in the hotel at Cusco, only need 3 days of clothing for the duffel bag. So this was new to us. The purpose of this is due to the movements and also carrying your luggage in the rock-stone streets. Tourguide: WASI was the best tour guide our group had ever had in the world. He was very passionate about Peru and extremely knowledgeable. He tried maintaining our positive feelings when we had many issues at the hotels. He will take care of everything, and if you get sick he will make sure to help as much as he can. Machu Picchu: This was an amazing experience. However, hopefully all of your group get the same time. Our group was split into 3 groups and there is no moving since it’s associated with your passport.Show moreG Adventures commented on this reviewThank you for your feedback, Florentino. We have passed your concerns on to the relevant departments for their review.Trip date: July 2024
- Paula· July 9th, 2024With only some minor logistic snags, our trip was even better than we dreamed. The Guides, especially Rive in Cusco and Machu Picchu, were outstanding. Our group was awesome and we are even talking about a reunion tour! And I personally am super grateful to Alfonso who stuck with me to translate and navigate my way to the US Embassy when I lost my passport. We will absolutely be traveling with you again.Show moreG Adventures commented on this reviewThank you so much for your review and beautiful photos, Paula! We are so glad to hear Alfonso was helpful during a stressful time. We look forward to welcoming you back on another tour in the future!Trip date: May 2024

Traveler•Written April 2025Can they extend their stay on Machu Picchu one more day? What would be the price?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written April 2025
We are not able to confirm the circuit of Machu Picchu taken on this tour, as the tickets go fast and our local operations team will buy whatever is available. Typically we run circuit 5.
- G AdventuresOperator•Written April 2025
Our tours are sold as complete packages, so we couldn't make slight adjustments like adding extra days except for at the start and end of the entire tour (in Lima).

Traveler•Written April 2025do you have 7 days cheap tour plus international airfare roundtrip from las vegas?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written April 2025
We do have 7 day Peru tours, depending on your age and where you want to explore. However we don't offer flights so you would be required to arrange these yourself. Options such as the Inca Discovery & Machu Picchu Adventure would be good 7 or 8 day options.
