Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Siem Reap
Your driver picks you up from the airport and takes you to your hotel in Siem Reap. Once you've settled into your room, the day opens up for whatever appeals to you. Some people head straight to Angkor Wat, others prefer wandering through the night market to get a feel for the place, and plenty just take it easy and try some local dishes at a nearby restaurant. It's your call on how to spend the rest of the afternoon and evening.

- Day 2
Angkor Archaeological Park
After breakfast, you're heading out to explore the temple complex. Start at Bayon Temple in the middle of Angkor Thom, checking out those massive stone faces, then move through the Terrace of the Leper King and Terrace of Elephants. From there, walk into Ta Prohm where the jungle has reclaimed much of the structure and enormous tree roots wrap around the stones. Late afternoon brings you to Angkor Wat itself, the largest religious monument in the world. You'll head back to Siem Reap as the sun sets.

Tonle Sap Lake to Phnom Penh
This morning starts with a boat ride out on Tonle Sap Lake. You'll see floating villages where families live their entire lives on the water, pass by floating schools, and even spot a floating police station. The fishermen here have lived this way for generations. After a few hours on the water, you get picked up and driven to the bus station, then it's a shuttle bus ride to Phnom Penh. You should arrive by evening and head to check in at your hotel.

Phnom Penh City Tour
Breakfast done, and then you're moving through Phnom Penh's main attractions. The Royal Palace shows off colorful Khmer architecture throughout its grounds. Next comes the Silver Pagoda with its rows of Buddha statues covered in precious gems. The National Museum has a solid collection of Khmer art and sculptures. Around midday, you'll browse Central Market with its distinctive dome roof and packed with vendors selling everything. Later, visit Wat Phnom, the Buddhist temple sitting on a hill overlooking the city. As evening arrives, take a sunset cruise on the Mekong River to see the Royal Palace glowing from the water.

Phnom Penh to Chau Doc, Vietnam
You're picked up from the pier and driven toward the Vietnamese border. The route goes through the Kaam Samonor crossing on the Cambodia side and then the Song Tien crossing into Vietnam. Once in Chau Doc, visit Ba Chua Xu Temple, an important spiritual spot for locals, then drive up to the Forbidden Mountain for views out over the surrounding area. After checking into your hotel, the rest of the day is free. Wander the streets, grab dinner somewhere local, or just settle in after travel.

Tra Su Bird Sanctuary to Can Tho
After breakfast, you're heading to Tra Su, a bird sanctuary tucked into the Mekong Delta. Small boats take you through the canals deep into the forest where storks, cranes, and other tropical birds live in their natural setting. You'll spend several hours watching and photographing. In the afternoon, you drive to Can Tho, the largest city in the Delta, and after checking into your hotel, you have free time to walk around, try street food, or relax.

Cai Rang Floating Market to Ho Chi Minh City
Following breakfast, you head out on a boat to Cai Rang Floating Market, the biggest floating market in the Mekong Delta. Local farmers are trading produce from their boats, and you can try noodle soup, coffee, and fresh tropical fruits right there. After browsing, visit a fruit orchard where you'll sample the local varieties and have some local tea. Then it's a drive back to Ho Chi Minh City, where your trip wraps up.
