She was prompt to give us updates of the timings of our picks &: the full day's itinerary, end of day & free time. What made her extra special was when I ask for help as I lost my universal adapter midway through our travels I'm Hanoi. It’s not a good or bad thing, but it took me by surprise… it does make sense though. So you are with different guides and people each day. If I knew this I may have organised these day tours myself upon arrival, and stayed in nicer accom. Having said that it was nice to have everything arranged for me and I did end up meeting some nice people along the way. Personally as a solo traveler I didn’t need overnight in Halong bay. Perhaps there should be the option to return to Hanoi or something. Although I was a bit freaked out when I met the Indochina agents and realized I was kind of on my own, they were really nice ladies. Each day was a new adventure for us, and everything was planned and coordinated down to the smallest detail…we really had nothing to worry about except showing up on time! Our trip coordinators (Hana and Julia) were exceptionally friendly, professional, and responsive. They ensured our busy schedule was expertly coordinated with drivers and local guides; they arranged our domestic flight itinerary (to include checking us in online and providing our boarding passes); and they checked in on us frequently to make sure our needs were being met the whole time. They even worked with the host during our Ha Long Bay cruise to decorate our room for our anniversary celebration…a touching gesture on their part! Each of the local guides were informative and welcoming, eager to share Vietnamese culture with us. We ate the most delicious meals, and tried new, yummy coffee concoctions. Our accommodations were all in convenient locations, and were clean and comfortable. Boat woman took to 3 to 4 different caves and we had the best water cave experience. Guide was very clearly explaining everything. While trekking at the mua caves he came many times to ask if my daughter is okay, Halong Bay Cruise very interesting and enjoy activities on cruise. Lunch buffet was outstanding.
