- Day 1
Lima
You'll arrive in Lima and meet your Globus representative at the airport. Peru's capital is a modern city that blends contemporary energy with colonial charm, and this is your entry point into an incredible week exploring the country's most iconic sites.

Lima
This morning you'll walk through Lima's colonial center starting at Plaza de Armas to see the Government Palace and cathedral. From there, head to San Francisco Monastery to check out the 17th-century cloister with its intricate murals. After that, stop at a local food market where you can try Peruvian fruits, vegetables, and spices while watching daily life unfold around you. By evening, you'll have dinner at a traditional Peruvian restaurant with your fellow travelers.

Lima to Cusco to Sacred Valley
A flight takes you to Cusco, then you'll head into the Sacred Valley to see Kenko Amphitheater and Puca Pucara. You'll participate in an El Pago a la Tierra ceremony with a local shaman, connecting with the land's spiritual traditions. Later, you'll visit local families who practice Pre-Columbian weaving and interact with alpacas, llamas, guanacos, and vicunas. Before settling in for the night, wander through Pisaq's mountain market to browse alpaca sweaters, blankets, jewelry, and hand-painted crafts.

Then board the Vistadome train through the lush Urubamba Valley leading to Machu Picchu. Your guide will walk you through the fortress, showing you temple remains, holy houses, and the mile-long aqueduct system. Later, before dinner, you might try a Pisco Sour or Inka Kola to unwind.

This morning starts early so you can watch the sunrise over Machu Picchu with your included second entrance. You'll see the mist burning off as sunlight hits the ancient structures, and you'll explore before the crowds arrive. After lunch at a local restaurant, take the train back through the valley and continue to Cusco for the evening.

Cusco
You'll spend the day seeing Cusco's Inca and Spanish heritage on a guided tour. Starting at Plaza de Armas, you'll see the Cathedral (construction started in 1550, finished 100 years later). A traditional Pasacaille performance by Andean musicians in vibrant textiles comes next, then you'll visit Koricancha Temple and Santo Domingo Monastery where baroque architecture sits atop the former Inca Temple of the Sun. Sacsayhuaman fortress follows, with its massive stone blocks weighing over 350 tons. The day wraps up with a farewell dinner.
