- Kristen· August 5th, 2023There was a plethora of issues from guide attitudes, accommodation quality, and food quality. Due to my experience, this will be my first and only time I use G Adventures. My first issue with G Adventures was the accommodations. I would call most of the accommodations abysmal at best. In Wadi Rum, we were taken to a camp with no AC or fans in over 100 degree weather. We all had to sleep outside because we were getting sick in the heat in the rooms. Then we had to deal with bugs biting us all night and also sleeping on the ground. The Seven Wonders Hotel in Petra had a broken AC and a shower that flooded the entire bathroom. I injured myself getting out of the pool because the ladder was not properly fastened to the wall. All 13 people on my tour in Egypt got food poisoning at a restaurant G Adventures took us to as part of the tour. It was so bad that I actually pooped in my pants in my hotel room because I couldn’t make it to the bathroom in time. People missed multiple days of activities because of G Adventures’ oversight. It seemed like the company wanted more money for extra add ons. The guide in Jordan claimed we all "had" to do the extras or no one could do them. I refused and somehow the rest of the people were still able to do the add ons. While I saw cool things, I overall had a negative experience for most of the trip. Between the subpar accommodations, the food poisoning, the Jordan guide, it was not an enjoyable trip. It was extremely frustrating that I spent a lot of time running to the toilet for days and was not able to enjoy a majority of the trip due to the restaurant G Adventures picked. I feel some sort of refund should be offered due to this gross oversight of safety for passengers, as well as all of the other issues. I contacted them about the above issues. In a series of emails, they accused me of mismanaging my expectations, did not take any accountability for the food poisoning, and misread/rudely responded to emails.Show moreG Adventures commented on this reviewHi Kristen, I hope you had a nice weekend. - Dov· April 27th, 2023The tour had all these optional extras, that should have been included. They were run by the CEO and the alternative was to just sit in a bus for an hour - or to just stay in a hotel for 8 hours. ALSO. We were charged twice do an issue on G Adventures end. They are refusing to give us a full refund.Show moreG Adventures commented on this reviewHi Dov, Thank you for your constructive feedback. - ALindsey Bell· June 24th, 2022I had a fantastic time on this trip! Everything was taken care of and I felt safe and comfortable the entire time. We had phenomenal CEOs who provided a wealth of knowledge and were wonderful to get to know. We get to see some incredible sights and learn about the amazing history. Our CEOs were great at making sure we were getting the most out of our trip, suggesting we wake up early so we could have the busy sights to ourselves, which was an amazing experience. I am so glad I joined G Adventures for the Egypt and Jordan Adventure - it was one of the best trips I've been on!Show moreTrip date: May 2022Review collected by G Adventures
- LLaurenL· October 21st, 2022WARNING----This is a very low end way to tour. The Egypt guide was great--not the Jordan guide. There was enormous amounts of shilling in Jordan, trying to direct us to different vendors to buy things. I believe there must be a kick back to the guide for the amount of effort put into this. In Jordan, I bought a mosaic at Mandaba Tree of Life store at Mt. Nebo. There was a hard sell going on--and I admit I fell for it. I was promised a Certificate of Authenticity--but none was given, and when I complained to the guide, he said I should email them when I returned to the USA, and then they would send it (??!!) The store hid a contract from me by covering it when I spent $1100 Us dollars. I discovered it later when I looked at the pictures of the entire receipt. I decided to cancel the purchase on October 1, 2022. I have exchanged over 12 emails with the business, and they promise a refund and write, "Did you get it?"--but it hasn't appeared. G Adventures doesn't answer their phone, and when I finally got an email from Lisa, I was told they are trying to hire, and cannot help. I was harassed by a man on the trip, and informed them--and they still have no resources to handle this. They do not have your back. And the Jordan "CEO"....? He doesn't work for you as the customer. He works for the Jordanian businesses which want your money. He went home at night in Amman leaving us to navigate no AC in the room and other issues. He has not helped at all. I will not travel with G Adventures again.Show moreG Adventures commented on this reviewHi Lauren, Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback.I was in touch with you directly regarding your concerns about the passenger on your tour. Asked on February 17th, 2025Why is the single supplement so much mor expensive? Do you have any senior discounts?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written February 2025
We are sorry to advise that we do not offer such discounts.

Asked on February 26th, 2024I like the look of this tour, but just wanted to ask if the mujib in Jordan could be included? Or whether I could fit it in somewhere as an extra activity to canyon in it like my parents did?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written February 2024
Unfortunately there isn't really time to arrange a visit to the Mujib river on this tour, as the itinerary has a lot of activities planned the only free time included would not give enough time to visit there. You would be required to leave the group and do it and miss one of the planned activities, or arrange a visit there from Amman at the end of the trip (but it is a fair distance from there so arguably not worthwhile).

Nicola
Traveler•Written February 2024Could I do the tour and complete it with the group then spend an extra night in Arman at the end to do a day tour to the Mujib river? Can you suggest any day tours?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written February 2024
You can add post tour accommodation with us, no problem. However the day tour to the Mujib river would need to be arranged independently from ourselves.

Asked on August 12th, 2023My son (14) and I are considering this tour for next summer. The main change seems to be that it did include a night on a felucca, and now it doesn't. Do you know why this change was made, and whether any more major changes could happen? Are there any available discounts should I book this far ahead?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written August 2023
We removed the overnight experience on Felucca due to consistent customer feedback. We currently have no plans to bring this back. Other changes could occur on our tours, if we feel an activity or accommodation isn't working for us or we receive feedback on it. Currently, we do not have any promotions on this tour, but we may have in the future.

Traveler•Written August 2023The booking form says that G Adventures offers a 5% discount for past customers, but when I enter my booking reference no discount is applied. Is this because my trip isn't until October? I am able to get the discount applied to the order before October?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written August 2023
The 5% discount is only valid once you have completed your first trip and completed the post trip evaluation form. It can then be applied to new bookings.

Traveler•Written August 2023To be absolutely clear, I can book a trip now and pay the deposit, then once I've returned from my Morocco trip I can do the evaluation, remind you, and a 5% reduction will be made to the full booking amount?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written August 2023
No, we do not offer any kind of discount on your first tour, unless there is a promotion running. The 5% discount is only for your SECOND tour that you must book after you've completed and returned from this one!

Asked on April 10th, 2023Regarding the Travel Itinerary to Israel, the West Bank, Gaza, Jordan or any others threatened by violent extremists, terrorist individuals and or groups or potential war out breaks. How will you adjust the itinerary ? Will you still offer this tour?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written April 2023
This tour does not include Israel and the West Bank. None of our tours have included the Gaza strip due to the ongoing conflict centralized in that area. Safety and security of our travellers and team members is our top priority. Our decision to proceed with operations is dependent upon governmental advisories, so our senior leaders would suspend the tours in the event that federal governments enact a 'DO NOT TRAVEL' warning, but this has not happened yet.

Traveler•Written April 2023Appreciate your timely reply, thank you! Guess where I was confused had to do with the actual map paired with the trip overview. As I read the itinerary I see the trip does starts in Cairo. Unless I'm mistaking, most trip have an accurate map reflecting where you well go. Your itinerary look very good and has interesting and special cultural excursions! As well greatly appreciate your uber caution regarding safety on all levels.

Asked on November 30th, 2022I'm very interested in joining the egypt & jordan adventure tour in Feb 2023 and wonder if vaccination/pre test is required for this trip
- G AdventuresOperator•Written November 2022
At this time, we do require all travellers to be fully vaccinated to join our trips. For G Adventure tours, fully vaccinated means fully vaccinated in your country (two doses, or two doses + booster, etc.). Travellers are still responsible for determining what vaccines are needed for the country they're visiting. Which could include Covid boosters.

Asked on November 3rd, 2022Is the rate of USD3,131 good for one traveler as I am traveling alone? My single entry visa is good for only 60 days. It takes 30 days at least to process my Egypt and Jordan visas. I can't book now because it's still too early - I reckon the best time to apply is early December. Also, I don't want to risk the slight chance of my visa application being rejected. How do I reserve for the Feb 17 trip without having to pay the full amount yet? Or in case one of the visas doesn't get approved, can I still be entitled to a full refund?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written November 2022
The prices listed are per person and are based on sharing a twin room with another traveller of the same gender. We require the full payment to be paid 60 days prior to the first date of the tour. We are unable to offer a full refund should you not be able to obtain a visa; our standard terms and conditions will apply.

Asked on October 31st, 2022Do you have an optional hot air balloon trip over Luxor in the itinerary?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written October 2022
Sorry we do not have the option to pre-book this activity. If you wanted to do this on the tour, the guide will be able to offer recommendations and help you book this.

Asked on May 7th, 2022I'm very interested in this tour but with 3 children, it is not possible to use double rooms in the hotels. Is there another option with 3 beds in a room or having our youngest who is 5 sleep in the parents bed? What would be the price with these options for the June 4th 2022 date?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written May 2022
If you are travelling with minors we can request to accommodate triple rooms, but this will be subject to the hotels' availability. Additionally, for June 2022 all of our departures are sold out, so we will need to request a new space for your group. This process can take a couple of weeks. Regarding pricing, the cost per person for a private departure is EUR 2249, however there can be a small increase in the price due to the triple rooms.
