Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakesh to Dades Gorge
Start in Marrakesh and head into the High Atlas Mountains, crossing through the Tizi n'Tichka pass with views of Berber villages and mountain terrain. You'll reach the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you can walk around and grab lunch at a local spot. After that, continue to Ouarzazate to see the Taourirt Kasbah, then follow the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs with its traditional villages and rock formations until you reach Boumalne Dades for the night.

Dades Gorge to Merzouga
After breakfast, leave the Dades Valley and head toward the Todra Gorges, where canyon walls rise about 300 meters high and you'll have time to walk through. Continue to Erfoud to check out the fossil workshops, then have lunch at a local restaurant. Later, reach the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi for a camel ride through the Sahara at sunset. You'll stay at a desert camp with traditional dinner and spend the night under the stars.

Merzouga to Marrakesh
Get up early to climb the dunes and catch the sunrise from camp. After breakfast, start heading back to Marrakesh through the Valley of Roses, which has blooming rose fields in spring and traditional kasbahs throughout. You'll see the landscape shift from desert plains to lush valleys and Berber villages as you travel. Pass through Ouarzazate one more time for views of the mountains and rock formations, arriving in Marrakesh around 7 p.m. in summer or 8 p.m. in winter and spring.
