Itinerary
- Day 1
Hanoi
You'll arrive at Hanoi International Airport and head to your hotel in the city center to settle in. After you've checked your room, join a walking street food tour that starts in the evening. You'll sample local Vietnamese dishes like Bun Cha, Pho, Banh Cuon, and try the famous Egg Coffee while walking through the streets. Once the tour wraps up, head back to your hotel for the night.

- Day 2
Hanoi
Start with breakfast at your hotel, then spend the morning checking out Hanoi's cultural sites including the Ho Chi Minh Complex, One Pillar Pagoda, and a Lacquer Paintings workshop. Depending on what day of the week it is, you'll visit either Bat Trang ceramics village or the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology. After lunch at a restaurant, walk through the Temple of Literature, Tran Quoc Pagoda, and Ngoc Son Temple. In the evening, transfer to Hanoi Railway Station to board your overnight train heading to Sapa.

Sapa
The train arrives in Lao Cai early, and then you'll ride in a van for about an hour going uphill through rice terraces toward Sapa town. Have breakfast at your hotel and rest for a couple hours. After that, trek roughly 5km on mountain trails to Y Linh Ho village where the Black Hmong tribe lives. You'll see their traditional houses, learn about their crafts, and head down to Muong Hoa River for a break or swim. Trek back up to Lao Chai village where there's a picnic lunch, then visit the Day and Red Dzao tribes in Tavan village. Finish with dinner and sleep at a local homestay.

Sapa
After breakfast at the homestay, trek about 8km through bamboo forest (going both up and down) toward Giang Ta Chai, a Red Dzao village. Stop at a waterfall and rattan bridge with time to rest or swim. Have a picnic lunch by the water, then trek up another 2km to Hau Thao village. A car takes you back to Sapa town where you can wander around on your own. Have dinner, then transfer to Lao Cai railway station for the night train back to Hanoi.

Hanoi to Halong Bay
Arrive back in Hanoi early morning and rest at a small hotel with shower access. Your guide picks you up at 8:00 AM for the drive to Halong Bay, getting to Tuan Chau Harbor by noon. Board the cruise and check into your air-conditioned cabin, then enjoy a welcome lunch while cruising past dramatic rock formations. In the afternoon, visit Sung Sot Cave and Titip Island for sightseeing or swimming. Back on the cruise, relax on the sundeck and watch the sunset, then take part in a cooking class for making fresh noodle rolls. Have dinner with sea views, and later try activities like squid fishing, karaoke, or puzzle games.

Halong Bay
Wake early to catch the sunrise from the sundeck with morning tea or coffee and bay views. After breakfast, visit a pearl farm to see how Halong Bay's pearl farming and retrieval work. Go kayaking around the bay to see the area up close, then check out of your cabin. Enjoy lunch while cruising back to Tuan Chau Harbor, then take a shuttle bus toward Hanoi with a short stop in Hai Duong province. You'll arrive back in the city and stay overnight at your hotel.
