The locations that appealed to me most were the Switzerland and Italy locations. I am someone who needs to do things with other people in order to be happy, so it was really nice to be able to find a person with whom i could explore the location of the day with during our assigned free time. I do wish occasionally to stay in some cities a little longer, either by free time or staying more days, but i understand the need for the current schedule. The schedule was a lot less hectic than i had initially imagined for my first tour bus type travel excursion and was pleasantly surprised at the overall trip, so i would definitely do it, though at this time i dont know where. I would be interested in touring again with some of the same guides, but i realize that is not a likely possibility. I had a 20 day trip, so i had multiple guides throughout my tour. I had started with Lionel, then went to Linus, Angela, Incarne?, Abdel, and finally Mariano, on my last day. Although, not always enjoyable every moment, i did appreciate the greatly varrying styles of each guide. However, while they were all good in their own way, Incarne and Angela were my favorites due to their styles and interaction with the travelers, in terms of getting to know the travelers and their interests. One thing i should improve upon for myself is to look at the provided information more carefully to determine what exactly is or is not provided. At the time i booked the trip i had not had a free moment to review all the information provided in the traveler information, so i would definitely take the time to research everything

Beware, the tour has lots of walking even though it's billed as being for people 1-99. Also your guide may drop you off in a city without information about where in the city you are or what's near by. Avoid this company.

I do not think there will be enough space in here for me to be able to describe all the issues we experienced on the European Ring tour with Europamundo. I wrote a Travel Blog as we journeyed, and emailed back to a couple of friends in Australia each day it was completed. With the 22-day tour plus travel from Australia to Paris and return, I ended up writing over 72,000 words. Not many of them were overly positive, and there were a lot of explicit examples I was able to provide. That started on the very first day in Paris, when we arrived what the hotel area was described by the transfer operator as a "poor area". She should have said "drug area" as we did not feel safe going outside the hotel in Saint Denis. That first night, there was no meet-and-greet, so we did not know what was happening, only that we had to be ready at some time of night for a trip to the Montmartre district, to ascend in the funicular and have dinner near Sacre Coeur. It took over an hour to drive the short distance, and when we arrived, the shops were shutting. We walked to the base of Montmartre, only to find that the funicular was not operating. Apparently, it had not been working for 16 days at that stage, and any tour company should know that. We did not, and were not advised that it was not running. It then being 41 hours since we left home, we were jet-lagged and unable (and unwilling) to ascend the hundreds of stairs. We wandered around in the cold, with nothing much open, and had to wait for everyone else to enjoy their night, before we could catch the bus back to the hotel for some much needed rest. We experienced 22 days of being disrespected, provided food we could not tolerate, being told we could not use the toilet on the bus, spoken to in a poor version of English that confused travellers, were given incorrect or unresearched information, were scheduled to be taken to locations in Paris without return transfers in the middle of the transport strike, were dumped in villages and cities that were closed, often taken to our hotel to find no food outlets around us open, we had to resort to seeking out McDonald’s or petrol stations in a lot of places so that we could be sure what we were eating or at least were open, “saw” Frankfurt at night in the rain with the main square closed and nothing much open but advised to go onto the bridge in the rain and take a photo of the skyline, and treated like second class travellers while others were obviously given special treatment. Also, we experienced 8 different tour guides over the 22-day tour, and only two of them could speak functional English, and only one had good organisational skills. I would not recommend Europamundo to anyone unless they are Spanish-speakers, as they were treated differently, and even had a different program to us with meals included and dedicated tour guides. If you need specifics or further information, I am more than willing to let you know of the many problems we experienced. Paris has always been our go-to place in the world to inspire us. As a result of this trip, we have no desire to return to Paris ever again.
